    I wouldnt think that if you set cpu multi to 20 and turbo on would get 21 of the 980x. Isnt the default multi like 25x or something. I know on the 930s turbo only works when cpu multi is set to 21x+turbo=22.

    It is more power/temperature than just the multiplier.
    What other reason is there for CPU-Z to show 22 when BIOS is set to 21?

    Chike, In the M.I.T. section of BIOS - Advance CPU Core Features [Press Enter]
    Intel(R) Turbo Boost Tech.
    [Enabled] Processor Cores Run Faster than the Marked Frequency
    [Disabled] Processor Cores Run Same as the Marked Frequency
    I found I was running this [Enabled] is the reason for multiplier showing higher than setting. The multi does not change under load. I set Multi to 21 and Start up Screen and CPU-Z shows Multi to be 22 - 22x200 - 4400MHz. It wasn't stable. I [Disabled] and shows correct Multi. I'm not sure where to set this ??? I was wondering about "Performance Enhance" [Standard][Turbo][Extreme] - I'm currently running it [Standard]. My RIG is very Stable - Just expected better performance than what I have achieved so far. I know I still have alot to learn about this board (I like it). It's my understanding that 1.4 is MAX for QPI/vtt. This really seems to put a damper on some 4.5-4.6 OC's I've been trying. LSD said he was going to get me a template but haven't heard from him. Anyway, if you guy's can throw some suggestions my way it would be much appreciated. Thanks wibujo

    Yes 25 is default with 980X, so if you set 21 with turbo you are still going to get 25 or above. You will need to disable turbo if you want to use 21, why are you anyway?
