    Default UD9 - Can't Flash BIOS

This is a new build (my first I7 and LC) and MOBO came with F2 BIOS installed. I just can't seem to get the BIOS to flash to F4 or the new BETA. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and never had issues flashing my 775 boards. I've always used a "USB Flash Drive". I read and tried all the options LSD layed out in his BIOS flashing guide - with "NO GO". I may need different programs to extract files ??? When I try to extract files it says "This program doesn't support ...... If I could get some to walk me through this it would be much appreciated. Thanks wibujo

Thank you wazza300. Yes, I tried with winrar but not sure if I used the .bin file. I'll be out of pocket for a couple hours but when I get back home I'll try it. Thanks wibujo

I put the X58AUD9.BIN file - 128K - on Flash drive and it said "File size incorrect" when I tried to flash. So I added the X58AUD9.F4 file - 1024 KB - on Flash drive and had no problem flashing. (I got it off Gigabytes web site) The new BETA will not work because I can't seem to extract the WO1 file to flash drive. I'm OK with the F4 at the moment. Is there anyway you could help me OC my CPU to 4.2GHz ??? I have everything on AUTO and sure would like to see what kind of temps I'm going to have OCing. I have 3 Feser 480's with 24 TFC extenders and 24 GT 1850's in push / pull. Also have 3 EK dual tops and EK-UD9 complete MOBO waterblocks. I'm only using 2 loops at the moment. I could try and do this on my own (OC) - But I see how you get everyone up and running in right direction. I know theres alot of pit falls and would like to learn the do's and don'ts without frying my parts. Do I need to start different thread ??? Thanks again wibujo

what ram do you have? for 4.2 try 200x21,set ram timing to spec and 8x ram multi=1600mhz,set uncore freq to 17x,dram voltage according to spec either 1.5v or 1.66v,qpi/vtt voltage 1.31500-1.35000 start with lowest number first, cpu voltage try with 1.25000v to start but anything from 1.25-1.3v,use coretemp to monitor your cpu temps

Which exact BIOS file do you want to install, unless you are good to go with what you did get installed?

I can upload the exact one you want, that will work, without it needing unzip, ect.

Thanks LSD. F4 seems to be sluggish while I'm in BIOS. F2 was fast and quick While in BIOS. I would like to go with the latest BETA / GOOCUD9.WO1. I do have RIG OC @ 4.2GHz but is unstable.(idle temps / System 34c / CPU 25c / NB 33c) I can pass IBT standard but fail IBT Max. (core temps 48c to 51c while stressing) It freezes up soon as I try to stress with P95. Anyway, before I proceed with OC I think I should install the latest beta BIOS. Thanks wibujo

you need a touch more qpi/vtt voltage or cpu voltage or both if your unstable, test with ibt on high

Here is that GOOC BIOS you wanted, no extraction needed, just put on your USB Stick and Qflash away
    GOOCUD9.W01
