I didn't really push VTT that far. Max I tried was 1.48V but voltage probably isn't the issue. The sticks are perfectly stable at DDR-1528 and a CPU OC of 4GHz (200x20 on a 8x RAM multi) with a VDIMM of 1.66 and a VTT of 1.33V until I leave the PC off over night. by "Stable" I mean 20 runs of LinX, 12 hours of Prime Large FFT. Switching it on the next morning causes a complete failure of any stress test I try. Web browsing is impossible; IE, Firefox and Chrome all constantly have to recover tabs, Flash crashes constantly etc.

If I go back into the BIOS and change a random setting, doesn't have to be in the MIT section, then save and exit, the machine's stable again until left off for an extended period. I even tried setting every single RAM timing and variable including reference voltages manually and I still get the same issue, unfortunately.

Didn't know that Mushkin was using PSC. Hopefully it's only the top binned stuff.
Everyone is using PSC now as it seems to be in great supply. Hyper and BBSE are EOL, and I haven't seen Samsung or Micron used much lately.

These tRCD +1 above CAS seem to be newer batch PSC I think, and from what I have seen they can do some amazing things - Just need Gigabyte to get some stability added in the BIOSes for them.

Indeed. I have seen a changes log for a couple of ASUS boards, and their recent BIOS does state "Improved compatibility for PSC RAM modules", though I can't find the link any more and I'm not sure what boards it was on.

PSC used to be something to avoid like the plague so I'm glad they're no longer producing sub par IC's.

Na, they have some decent IC's out now for sure!

Ridgeback's are great, and the kit you have listed in your signature is as well.

Check out these babies I'm reviewing now

    CAS 5 @ 1600

    CAS 7 @ 2000 (Working on getting 6-9-6 stable)

I'll get an email out to Gigabyte this weekend, hopefully they are already working on this!

I've sent in a report about these IC's just now, inquiring for added compatibility.

So hopefully this can be fixed shortly, that is if the BIOS guys can be pulled away from P67 long enough to address this :)

Thanks lsd, I have a newer kit of Corsair ram and I am having very similar issues that Psycho was having, but I am on an older bios. I was going to update to F8B, but it seems you saved me that step for now.

Anytime, sorry guys I've actually been meaning to contact Gigabyte about this for a while now but just recently remembered to talk with Mushkin about the set I have.

Anyway, I've now asked Gigabyte to look into this, hopefully the BIOS guys can spare a few minutes from P67 programming to look into this and correct it.

You guys are not alone, I have a nice set of memory I cannot use as well until this is fixed! I've only played with my tRCD +1 PSC's on X58, so not sure how they are on P55

I'd go ahead and update the BIOS Chad, it may not help much with this issue itself, but it could a little bit for you though - so it's worth a shot while we wait to hear back from Gigabyte.

Depends on which kits you are looking at really.

There are a few that are the same currently, 998826 Ridgeback is the same as 998805 Redline, just different heatsinks - same applies to the similarly spec'd Radioactives.

    Silverline are the budget models

Updated to F7 as I don't usually have good luck with beta bios'. It wasn't much help to these Corsairs, but hopefully I will hear from them on Monday and see if there is something I missed. For now I slapped my Patriots (2400 CAS9) back in and got to testing on the new bios. So far the memory changes in the F5 seemed to help these. :)
