Beta BIOS is the best man, that's all I ever use

I'm the opposite of you, I don't have very good luck with final BIOSes! Haha, I only flash to those if specifically asked by someone to test something.

It's the BIOSes causing issues with PSC that have tRCD +1, since they're new they haven't added compatibility yet is all - I'm sure.

Hopefully they'll be able to fix it soon, I can't really use the Mushkin Copperheads I bought either until it's fixed so don't feel bad I'm in the same boat with you

You may gain some stability by setting tRCD +2 above CAS, but I know that's counterproductive so probably not ideal for anyone to use, unless maybe you only had one set of memory or something like that.

Oh I went as far as 9-11-9-27 at 1600mhz and it was still pretty fail in memtest86+.

Haha, ya that is bad then. I only had mine installed for a few days and they drove me nuts, so I had to remove them!

They'll get it fixed for sure, hopefully sooner than later.

Hey Psycho, and Chad (Edited in, I forgot you also noted these issues as well)

Can you test XMP at optimized defaults? My contact at Gigabyte would like to know the outcome.

I sent in a short email, which he replied to, but it seems like he maybe wasn't sure of what I was trying to explain.

So I sent in another longer one, with much more info, and explained that we both have similar issues with similar kits, and that we both very much know what we are doing.

Mushkin has confirmed there is issues, so hopefully with my longer explanation into the issue he can better explain to the BIOS team.

I'll keep you posted on what they have to say, let us know how your XMP optimized defaults test goes, and I'll do one myself again now too.

We can't test cold boots right away like this of course, but we can test in windows instability which I have plenty of - but I think cold boots with these are the worst issue

I don't look forward to that test in the morning

I can't get any love at any speed or with XMP or without. Cleared CMOS and all that good stuff a bunch between tries as well. I got a little bit of help so far from Corsair on this, but so far its been rudimentary things in trial and error so far.

I was told the kit I have doesn't use "new ICs", it seems just tweaked too far to work with my UD7.

Ya, I don't get anywhere with the set I have, no matter what

What is your kits timings rated at, and do you know if they are PSC or not?

What model # and I'll check if you are unsure.

    I believe they are PSC.

    Model of the kit: CMP4GX3M2C1600C7

Sticker says 7-8-7-20 XMP sets 7-8-7-23 both at 1.65V

Is there any reason to believe these would do better on a GA P55 UD6?

Ya, I think that is PSC and is similarly timed to the ones I've noted issues with across several brands/models.

What Revision are they? If 7.1 then they are PSC based
    http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68811

Not sure how they would be on UD6, I'm fairly convinced there is some compatibility issues so it may apply to all the models until they update things.

Let me know how you get along with my 133 Bclk comments I PM'd you.

Arggggggggggg! I just noticed all my past issues with these were on a older BIOS as well, and I'm using F8c now.....

Well I'm going to do some new rounds of testing tonight and see if I'm still seeing the same issues as I used to. Then a cold boot test to follow in the morning.

133 Bclk / 1600Mhz is passing 5 x 800mb HCI memtest right now, all auto expect uncore 2x memory multi (Both manually set). So it may be like I mentioned, and the issues are only present after a certain Bclk, which was 160 or so last time I saw an issue like this.
