Hey...welcome to this fine club! :)

I sent Gigabyte a support ticket through their website and they replied to me and attached a zip file to their reply with the latest FC2 bios.

Gimme your email and I can send you the files if you want to try it

I just adjusted optimised default fc2 bios with these changes:

set ram to run at 1600 (that's the speed of the ram)
set ram/ memory multi to 12
set timings clock to 9 9 9 24 (that's the stated timing of the ram)

Plan to test ram again....should I test one at a time in each slot?

as long as 6gb of ram is showing in wondows then no need to test each stick, just test all unused ram in windows

6gb is showing in Windows....I tested all six gb together yesterday for nearly 7 hours...no errors reported.

What do you mean by 'test all unused ram in Windows'?

Well...it's morning.....optimised defaults for fc2 with the tweaks I described a couple of posts ago.......BSOD on cold boot.

Someone on another forum told me to test each stick of ram individually for 10-15 passes...

I don't know what to do now

its up to you how you want to test your ram, what qpi/vtt voltage are you using now? try with more 1.3 to 1.35v if its still failing from cold then its most likely that brand/model of ram still

it does seem strange for two users with the same mb and different brands of ram(adata and corsair) to be suffering from the same problem, how long has the rev2 mb been out?? still could be a bios issue too

I'll have to check on that and get back to this thread in a couple of mins.

I just noticed that the temps shown in realtemp are all up around 40-44.........I'm sure last night with these same bios settings that the temps were mid 30's
