Yeah, no charges.

Although, It looks like im still having some problems. Sometimes it boots with 4 and sometimes with 6. It sounds like a setting issue now though. I'll try the stuff from the initial post to see if I can get it to always boot with 6GB.

what make of ram are you using? set the dram voltage and timings according to spec, either 1.5v or 1.66v,and set qpi/vtt voltage to 1.3v even at stock settings as auto wont be as reliable

Ya, if you have no bent pins this time then you need to find the correct voltages and you should be ok.

Did you check with images, for bent pins before installing the CPU?

    I have Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX6GX3M3C1600C7

I was actually going to buy another 6GB yesterday. Changed my mind because of the issues i was having.

I started getting bsod and random freezes. The bios even hangs sometimes when loading (it stops where it would usually show the memory available). After reconnecting the power plug it booted back up.

I changed the dram voltage to 1.64 (okay to go 1.66 if ram is rated 1.65?) and updated the qpi voltage to 1.3. No more problems so far, hopefully it keeps working :)

What revision memory sticks do you have, it should say on the sticker.

Yes, 1.66 will be 1.648, setting 1.64 will get you 1.62-1.63x

I see ver 8.2 on them.

Have any of you heard of usb issues with this board? Twice now it has blue screened on me when copying large amounts of data onto usb sticks. After the blue screen doesn't want to start back up (bios locks up when displaying available memory). I'm trying to see if i can consistently reproduce it. Not having much luck at the moment though. From what I can tell its a hardware issue. the Bug Check string is BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER and the first parameter 0x5 which means A hardware failure has occurred due to a bad physical address found in a hardware data structure. Sadly, some of the cases i found online were fixed by replacing the motherboard. This mb also came with bios version FB. Maybe I should try the latest FC posted on here.

Sigh, I have the worst luck. I'm now suffering from the same thing as before.. T_T middle slot not working 2 other slots are okay. It is also doing the recovering DRAM loop again.

Thanks, I was just wondering if they were a certain IC, which it looks like those are not as I see that version uses Nanya IC instead.

I haven't seen any USB issues, so yes try the latest BIOS and make sure your memory is 100% Stable as well as the rest of the system too.

You need to find the right QPI/Vtt voltages so all the memory is detected, this is probably part of what was causing your USB issues as well.

If you need help with your settings please grab a template from my signature and give us your full exact settings and we'll try to help you get sorted.
