Please connect your SATA drive to the first Blue port at the top, closest to the PCB - SATAII_0, and then put your CD/DVD drive on SATAII_5 or 6.

Then set your BIOS Integrated Peripherals page like this:

    Integrated Peripherals

    X58
    Intel Controller (Blue Ports)
eXtreme Hard Drive (Intel ICH10R Chipset) ........................ Disabled
ICH SATA Control Mode (Intel ICH10R Chipset) ..................... AHCI
SATA Port0-3 Native Mode (Intel ICH10R South Bridge) ............. Enabled

Gigabyte/J.Micron Controller (White Ports) *These do not matter, and should not be used really for now*
Onboard SATA/IDE Device (GIGABYTE SATA2 Chip) ............. Enabled
    Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode (GIGABYTE SATA2 Chip) ........... IDE/AHCI

Then go into Standard CMOS page, and at the very bottom disable/set None on Floppy/Drive A if it is not already.

Then go into Advanced BIOS page and set 1, 2, 3 boot order to HDD, CD, then None. You will use F12 at bootup to boot from CD (ONCE at the beginning of the OS install ONLY).

Then go into the "Hard Drive/Disk Boot Priority" Section at the very top of the Advanced BIOS page, once inside move your hard drive to the top that you want to install windows onto.

DO NOT load any drivers before/during the OS install, none are needed at all.

Sounds like your memory or something related to that is not stable, do you have all that in auto?

Can you post a link to your memory. Are you overclocked, or setting any settings in the MIT Section of the BIOS?

CD/DVD would be best in port SATAII-5, but it really doesn't matter, and has nothing to do with this issue.

Do you have the settings set as I mentioned above for the Intel controller? Shouldn't matter either, but just wondered.

Sounds like your system is unstable. What is the BSOD code, looks like 0x00000124

Give me a link to your memory online is what I meant.

Then fill out a template from my signature with your exact full BIOS settings, then we can advise better settings for you to see if this is the problem.

You could do a quick test, check to see if you can boot into windows with one stick of memory in the first white slot, if that works then settings is probably the issue

You would need to change several things to run your memory at spec, so if you are using auto that could be the cause of issues which is why I asked for more info.

make sure you disable all floppy drives too as this affect win7 installation sometimes, disable floppy from boot order and disable drive A,try disabling intel turbo boost and you could try just installing one stick of ram in first white socket from cpu just untill youve installed win7 then add the other two sticks
