Just one thing I saw a post from LSD showing a screenie of his device manager in the controllers section, he had two controllers in there and one of them was the Inel ICH10R controller (where I had the Jmicro controller but deleted it ). The only place I see any ICH10r controller is in the IDE ATA tab in Device.

    GA-X58A-UD5 SATA3 Marvell and Crucial C300 SSD?

    Check first page.

Did I have to do the F6 install prior windows?

Under the IDE tab the ICH10R drivers are 2006, any new ones out ? lol

I read somewhere about secure erase, Is that needed and if so how often to do it? Also running benchmarks to see if your drive is working as it should it writes about 18GIG of data on it?????

Secure erase...is that some sort of garbage collection type thing? If your SSD supports TRIM (and you are on Win7 using AHCI) you shouldn't need to do anything special for maintenance on the SSD. I think all the Intel drives support TRIM. I know intel has a good SSD utility to check your drives status (something toolbox?). Also a program like Crystal SSD Info will list the features of your SSD...TRIM should be one of them.

There's also a program called Crystal Diskmark which is a decent SSD benchmark program.

Secure Erase should never be used on a SSD, Sanitary Erase maybe, but they are two very different programs.

TRIM will be fine for you, no need to worry about either of the above mentioned programs.

Yes, install the Matrix drivers and or program from here
