Looks like it probably is the bios overclock offered to have the processor and motherboard back to resolve the issue was built up outside the box with new psu tried 2 graphics cars unfortunatly i didnt have any DDR3 RAM to test with or a spare CPU so I will just let them have it back and if they need to flash the bios I dont have to worry about it going wrong.

By the way the psu seems very good quality as to all the cables so should be good for you to use when you do your build

yh they are good spec psu's for the price, did you msg overclockers and tell them that you want to run an amd 6core chip on that board and that you need the bios updating to the latest one for it to work?if not i would drop them an email explaining

Ye asked them what processor they used they didnt say other thatn it wasn't a 4 or 6 core they probably keep a couple of low end ones for testing but they said to send both back if there was still an issue after i tried it with an 8 pin connector on the power supply did explain it needed the f3 version of the bios. To be fair to them they have been pretty helpful

Gues what it never got sorted for christmas got it back could enter the BIOS and thought great but the SATA controller was not working properly wouldnt recognise dives in half the SATA conectors and wouldnt install windows. Sent it back to overclock and its been lost in the post for 2 weeks! So looks like i'll have to fork out for a new board and claim off parcel force. Anyone have any experiences with a GA-870A-UD3 board was looking at them would like to know what people make of them. Seems like my CPU is supported by the earliest version of the BIOS for each revision of the board so shouldnt encounter the same problems.

Still having problems but i'm sure on here I will find a solution to stop it BSOD during windows installs. Thanks for all your help sorry I couldnt find a solution to what was causing it
