Default Need Help with Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H MOBO, No boot, Power Works.

I got my GA-MA785GM-US2H mobo and connected everything with a 450W power supply. I am running 2x1 GB of Kingston RAM 667mhz, an AMD Phenom x4 9750, a USB PCI card, a Network PCI card. Also, an Nvidia GeForce GT220. 2 IDE hard drives, and a DVD RW drive. When I turn on the computer everything starts but no display. I took everything out and still the same thing, no beeps without any RAM, no response from the board it seems. I hear the harddrives turn on, the dvd drive starts up but doesnt spin when I put a disc in. I am wondering if I am using too low of a power supply or maybe I need a certain connector for the power supply. I see the 8-pin but I dont have an 8-pin. The manual says that the 4 pin is compatible. Also the revision is 3.3.

This is occurring for me also.

All components but motherboard and processor are from my previous computer which ran fine. Phenom 2 X4 940 Black Edition. 3.3 Motherboard.

Nothing shows up on the screen. Tried both my video card which worked on the other MB and the built in video out.

I actually got this working. I saw another thread where the guy said he got it working after re-arranging some components. I moved the video connector, tried the 2x2 pin MB power connector, unplugged drives until it worked with almost nothing attached.

My final working config was only the outer two RAM slots filled, no video card (just connected to the MB video adapter), and only the hard drives connected to the sata slots.

My hypothesis was that some component was using too much power somehow. I'm going to try putting back the RAM and video card after updating the BIOS to see if that still works. If not, I'll get a power supply larger than 500W.
