OK, i guess i have to try it.
If i notice any ill side effects is it possible to easily go back to the F9 BIOS?
    (e.g. downgrade.)

it probably does, they dont list everything that it fixes though,so it could include memory fixes(new brands)of memory plus other stuff, the only way to know is if your having problems with hardware or instability is to flash to the latest beta bios if it fixes things then great if not then flash back to a working bios or wait till a newer revised bios is released

I guess that is the only way to be sure.
I read the SSD fix doesn't work with this user.
But I don't use SSD so I'll try and see if it fixes my instability problem.
(If I underclock my memory 1333=>1066MHz it seems to be stable.)

Okay Wazza, I understand. My SSD was not causing any probs btw. but it had firmware 1.22 from the start. Still I flashed the bios, just to be sure.

It seems my OC did profit a bit from F10, in the sense that I required a notch or two less vtt, so could it be something pwm side changed from before too? In that case I think compuser maybe also benefit from this.

Allright gents, i think i got something.
To be on the safe side i removed two sticks before flashing.
Flashed F10 did the Load Optimized defaults and reboot, put all my settings back in and booting for windows.
    Bang, frozen desktop, WTF.

Flashed back F9 did the Load Optimized defaults and reboot, put all my settings back in and booting for windows.
    Guess what, frozen desktop again!
Now the two new sticks can't run alone on 1333 MHz.
If i set them back at 1066 MHz no freezing any more.

So i switched sticks and put back in my old kit.
No desktop freezing at 1333 MHz!

It is pointing more and more to the new kit with some bad chips which will not run at the rated speed 1333 MHz.

I am going to RMA the new kit and get a new one.
Damn, why is this always happening to me.

Thx for all the help received.
I'll report back if the new kit works.

you could have a faulty batch of ram with the newer kit,its best to buy an 8gb matched kit where they have all been tested and binned to work at rated speeds, but you might get two 4gb kits to work better if you rma the faulty ones

I understand, however the RMA route should be the cheapest one.
If i go for a new 2x4GB kit i can bin my old, good working, 2x2GB kit. :-(
