Default RAID 0 on Gigabyte slow

need help on raid expert for HDD. i am having slow perfomance on my raid 0.

i have this motherboard Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H (rev. 1.0) (F8 latest firmware)

i am using samsung F4 2TB hardisk. tested using HD tune each hardisk speed is 140MB read

when using raid 0 for two drive i am getting ard 200MB-250MB read for 100gb short stroke..

but when i am using three drive raid 0 i am only getting 150MB-280MB...

i already install the raid expert from AMD with NCQ enable..... still unable to get the fast speed..

i dont have the screen shot with me right now...

from my understanding raid 0 works better with even pair of drives... ie 2 or 4 drives. 3 drives in raid 0 i think make things go wacky.... I have never used 3 drives in raid 0 maybe someone else with more experience can say for sure.

I've used 3 drives in RAID 0, speed increased as expected with the third drive added.

That was on Intel though, sorry I am personally not sure what you should be expecting on AMD systems.

Do you have write back cache enabled for the array?

Same here. I've used three Vertex SSD's in RAID0 and also got the correct scaling.

Checking writeback cache and Windows cache settings is a good idea. Also, what stripe size did you set when you created the array. Personally I'd use the largest stripe possible within reason. Perferably 128 to 256. However if you can't go up that far, 64 will suffice and should still give you good speed.
