    I finished testing each individual stick and with Slots 1 and 3 populated. All tests passed for 5 or more passes and I could see all the same timings with Expert mode. The only peculiarity would be that the MIT screen would show the final timing at 1T whereas the Memory timing screen for [Auto] would show a 3T.

    They should all be 1T, manually set that.

    What disk drivers are you using, and if Intel what version?

    I'm using the drivers that came with Win7. The hard drive driver is the generic Microsoft driver v6.1.7600.16385. The BluRay is the only firmware that came with the drive from LG. The SATA driver is Intel v9.5.0.1037. The management engie is Intel v6.0.0.1179. Also have the Intel Rapid Storage icon in the system tray.

    See if updating to Intel 9.6 will help any

    I asked because I know the new version 10 has some sleep issues, so was just checking to be sure you were not using those so we could rule that out.

    Well, the link that you sent me pointed to an older set of drivers. Assuming this is what you meant I downloaded and installed them. Still the same problem recovering from S3. In fact, not sure if it was these older drivers or the increased voltages for the memory controller, but now the board is having boot loops from cold boot, even if I select optimized defaults. I rolled back to the original drivers I had and hopefully this will stop.

    The link I sent you was for the Intel RST 9.6 drivers, that is the latest public posted version, the v. 10 you see/hear about is still in beta kinda

    * Edit *

    Sorry, I meant to link you to the Intel 9.6 RST storage manager, sorry!

    Here is the correct link

    OK, I updated to 9.6. Still no change in behavior.

    Just thought I'd bump the thread. Does anyone have any other ideas, or am I stuck waiting for a BIOS update? Thinking that I might try clearing the CMOS and starting over with the memory timings, also wondering if I need to try updating my HD graphics driver (already used the Intel update tool, but figured I'd double check the version). Finally, could it possibly be some setting in Win7 x64 that could be causing the boot loops, perhaps running "powercfg -energy" report?

    Well, I DID have to update my HD graphics driver, but that didn't fix my sleep problem. For those of you interested, the answer for me was to bite the bullet and go with a Crucial 8gb kit (2x4gb). I'm sure a Corsair kit of 2x4gb would have worked as well, but the memory from their compatibility list was a little overkill for my needs, since I'm looking for stability and not OC (yet). If I do decide to OC in the future, I would probably invest in some good quality heat spreaders, since my new sticks are bare. Guess 4 sticks is just too much of a load to recover from for this board.

    Thanks again to all who tried to help. Much appreciated.
