With the 3.33 multiplier the memory speed looked to remain as 1520 !!

And I do not understand , if it has an base , why the 3.33 will interfere with base latency memory settings,
other than locking just the memory FSB ?

My new question are , what is the max internal FSB of the P35 ?

With higher cpu speeds, try setting your memory to about 1333 - 1450MHz.
It sounds like you are at the "edge" with 1520MHz.

Did you make any bios voltage changes with 456MHz?

In general, the P35 won't o/c as high as the P45.
My best guesstimate is that the P35 limit is in the 450 - 475MHz range, depending on hardware quality; low, medium, or high.

    Yes .. voltage settings .

    1) I have the MCH to +2 ( due the fact that even stock this board had issues at 0-auto , with +1 booted in windows, with +2 3dmark runs smoother than +1 )

    2) Memory voltage set to +1 = 1.7V ( 1.65 default for 1600FSB operation ) MB sets 1.6 (auto)

    3) FSB over-voltage +1 ( even with +2 , I was able to boot 383 FSB but no further even with +3)

I do not know what stopping me ?
The memory controller , or the FSB of the P35 ?

well i have another post on this up there ..about 2 posts up
    to cut it short
fsb has nothing to do with the memory multiplier. There is no "memory" front side bus:( fsb) as such.
front side bus speed is more like the interaction speed between all your components.

266 ref speed=1066mhz frontside bus speed.
for your cpu 266ref speed on optimised defaults will give you 2.4Ghz cpu speed (266x9)
for your ddr2 533 mhz memory it would have worked on a x2 multiplier ,multiplying 266x2.

Your board has a fsb speed limit. its stated as up to 1600mhz.
That is really to accomodate cpu's that need a reference speed of 400mhz . Thats some of the later 775cpu's

It doesnt mean we cant utilise the boards capabilities to get over 1600 mhz fsb even if our cpu doesnt actually need it for stock speeds.
Your boards just may not run a 1600mhz front side bus easily without some setting changes.
    look at it another way

your memory runs well at 1520 mhz memory speed, the board is running at 1520 mhz front side bus speed, because coincidentally you have a x4 multiplier on the memory.

However you cant just expect it to work backwards.

"my memory allways works at 1520mhz so i can boost my front side bus speed up to whatever I want as long as I keep reducing my cpu and memory multiplier isnt going to happen" .

Memory working at 1520 memory speed at 1520 fsb speed may not work at 1520 memory speed at 1824mhz fsb speed which is what youve been trying ,I think?
Not without adjustments to cpu v, cpu speed, fsb voltage or all 3 even if it can be made to work.

Ok i will reverse the question .. what the 3.33 will do for me ?
What good this 3.33 had to offer as setting , if it does not serve , so to lower the memory final FSB ,
so to have the chance to boost the basic CPU FSB 266 ( stock value) ?

go on the bsic formula cpu speed>fsb speed>memory speed.

I mean 1520 mem speed is great!
but in testingyou genarally try and maximise one component and work from that .

The 3.33 multiplier well its settings may not be ideal for your memory but you can move on.
Say go for whats the maximum fsb speed you can get stable while holding cpu speed down and memory speed below 1500mhz..
The testing youve done.well it sounds promising.
1520mhz may not be the maximum memory speed.
did you try loosening the cas timings out to 9.
Maybe you can hit 1600mhz memory speed using a 4 multiplier for memory ,400 cpu ref with a x6 multiplier on cpu and by definition a 1600mhz fsb speed.
Or you could go the other way and see how high the cpu will go and how your general performance testing goes.

The general cpu speed is greatest as long as you dont gimp up fsb speed,as long as you dont gimp up memory speed and timings.seems to be the wtg.

so to lower the memory final FSB
    FSB = Front Side Bus.
Memory speed is measured by MHz, but we don't call it "memory FSB".
Your memory frequency depends on the front side bus setting.

Running your cpu at higher speeds, especially with a higher FSB, will improve overall system performance and memory bandwidth. This is why you would use a lower memory multiplier with a higher FSB, to keep the memory speed within stable limits.

I think that you'll have an easier time if you test with the 3.20 memory multiplier when your cpu is clocked above 400MHz. Once your system is stable with higher cpu speeds, you can then see if there is any advantage to using the 3.33 multiplier. Using the 3.33 multiplier instead of 3.20 would let you raise your memory speed by 4% at any given cpu speed.

I am sorry if this conversation looks to have some lag , its because I try suggestions , and testing my own too.

I had updated the post 39 , by running again at the same settings , by ignoring the settings 4.0 # or 4.0~ ,
as I did in all my testing so far , and got better results with this setting at ( Auto )

    GA-EP35C-DS3R & (2x2gb) pc12800 DDR3 1600Mhz

This last test proves, that there is an gain by keep pushing the CPU multiplier higher .

And so the 380X9 = 3420 , looks to be the theoretical end of the road , at Fast memory FSB1520 + CPU speed.
I do not know if I will try , this last jump .. I am currently one step below at = 3.040 Mhz
