Default Need help figuring out which ports to hook my SSD to

I have a ud3r board and currently have my front panel eSATA on the GSATA 2_8 port set to AHCI and my WD Caviar Blue 640GB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" HDD connected to SATA 2_0 and my DVD burner on SATA2_4, these are set to AHCI as well. I plan on getting a Intel 80 GB X25M SATA II SSD for my OS and was wondering how I should hook it up and what settings I should put the SATA ports in?

I agree, your OS should be on the SATAII_0 port for sure, and the CD/DVD player on the last SATAII port, the rest is all up to you.

Ok I am going to put my OS SSD into SATA2_0 my HDD on the SATA2_4 port and the DVD on the GSATA port. Then set the ICH controller to AHCI with native mode enabled? correct? Do I need to do anything else for my SSD?
Thank you so much for your help!

Native mode enabled will be fine.

You should align your SSD if you plan to make your own partitions, if you don't and let windows 7 installer create them it will be aligned for you.

Don't use the white ports, especially not the gigabyte onboard sata2.
