I think The Fc5 bios was giving a hard time. I had trouble getting 200 bclk stable let alone 215 stable. I flashed back to GOOC bios and started working my way back up and got 200 stable.

My ex58-ud5 needed 1.4v vcore and 1.355 qpi/vtt for 215 blck 8x memory 18x uncore. I was up to 1.55 vcore and 1.55 qpi/vtt for 215 at 8x memory and 16x uncore. on the x58a-ud5 rev2 Fc5 bios. I was getting 124 and 101 bsod on windows startup. Hopefully cpu and or motherboard is ok.

I think with old board i needed around 1.455 for 224 blck cant remember exactly

Here is 215. This failed after the 19th pass but it could be because I tried opening cpuz and etune6. but at least im back on track again.

That is pretty good, i like that i havn't gone for high blck with extra vcore. Do you think it will help even when multiplier is at 13x or 12x? like vcore helping with blck? You should try setting cpu pll back to 1.8v and you can bump qpi pll as well as IOH both to 1.3v i know you know that. I feel like my 930 just sucks. oh one more thing i can do 215 blck with 1.4vcore and 1.375 qpi vtt, only ioh to 1.2 and qpi pll to 1.2, that is at 4.5ghz, but i think my ****t 930's IMC is making it hard to go furthur. It takes a crap load of voltage for me to do 220 blck with this thing even at 220 just 5mhz i have to raise voltages like non other. Any reason you don't use lower multi for high blck run?

I was kinda going for max clock till around 225 to see how far my water cooling can keep up with. I just tried 19x225 left vcore at 220 setting and bumped up qpi/vtt and system locked up in 16 sec of linX. QPI PLL is at 1.22 and IOH is at 1.2 qpi/vtt is 1.475.

I was hopping/thinking if 1.475 is good for 21x220 it should be well good enough for 19x225 unless vcore needs to go up with uncore.?.?

My 930 suck big time compared to my 920. Its IMC was crap needed a lot more voltage then my 920. Was thinking about trying it in this board and making sure it still sucks.

last test the system froze after 1m20 sec. rebooted set cpu pll to 1.8 qpi pll to 1.3 ich to 1.3 left all other settings pressed F10 the system rebooted but failed to pass post. The system just hung at C1 and made a clicking noise every 10 sec or so. After powering off and on and no successful boot I pressed the clear cmos button and the system booted. Enter the bios and selected the saved profile for my 220 settings pressed F10 and same the system reaccessed to post. Again turned it off clear cmos and tried my 215 profile. That had the same effect also. I was able to clear cmos and then choose optimized defaults saved and reboot and it rebooted. Tried a profile and it refused to boot. Then cleared loaded optimized defaults then I manually set all timings and voltages to default and still booted.

what the heck is that all about?

depends where it stores the oc profile,if it saves it to the cmos and it got badly corrupted then maybe it would cause problems? try saving oc profile on a usb stick?
