you should be able to clock to around 3.6-3.8ghz just by increasing bclk to 22x165 and set system memory multiplier(spd) to 8x,uncore freq set to 17x and everything else you can leave as it is inc voltages

thats for a clock of 3.630ghz and memory speed of 1320mhz

or you could try 21x175 bclk and disable intel turbo boost and use 8x mem multi and 17x uncore freq, maybe that would use less cpu voltage

I started with your second option (21x175) and you're right, the volt is lower (1.168v vs 1.248v) but I got a BSOD within 15 mins of prime95.
So I loaded the first option (22x165) and I'm now passed 2 hrs of prime95, will keep going for a few more hours but looks good. Temps only went up 5c on max to 75c.

I was looking at your "overclock template" in your sig and looks like my memory advance timing controls are off, should I try to fix them or just leave them ???

what did you use for qpi/vtt voltage and 21x cpu multi? type in your memory timings according to your ram, mine are rated at 8-8-8-24-1T,if auto timings are less than that then its ok to leave them

you just might have needed a little more qpi voltage for 21x,some cpu's run better on even multi's or odd multi's so you might be better off on 22x

Well now you're going to see exactly how little I know about this, basically I used exactly what you gave me in post #9. I'm also running Real temp 3.4 and cpu-z at the moment with prime95 if that's not enough I'll have to go back in the bios but I'll need the exact terminology cause I'm not even sure what 21x cpu multi is. sorry !!!

Also what I was trying to say about the memory timings was all the other values like, trfc, twtp, trc... etc.

if its stable on 22x for cpu then it will be fine on that,as for the ram advanced timings those are fine on auto aswell, mine are left on auto i just set the basic timings 8-8-8-24-1T ect, 1.315v for qpi/vtt is ok,if it blue screens again then add one or two clicks more to it

I did read a few post on OCZ forums about similar problems on SSD with old firmware.

    Thanks for the help !!!

Nice to see you've got your issues sorted with this!

Also nice to see your overclocking is going well too!
