Last info before going to sleep...

I managed to get it working as far as I can.

    CPU CLOCK RATIO: 17x (3,57GHz)
    UNCORE CLOCK RATIO: 16x
    BLCK FREQUENCY: 210MHz
    SPD: 8x
    MEM FREQ: 1680MHz (9-9-9-24) * I might check it with 8-8-8-24 latencies.

    QPI/VTT: 1,315V
    DRAM: 1,5V

Now, FSB:DRAM Ratio is at 2:8.

This is the best setup I could have till now.
Working flawlessly without any Error messages.

This setup is about 17% faster on rendering a scene in 3d studio MAX than the first one working.

More news tomorrow with new Cooler on CPU.

Sounds like you are doing just fine man, keep at it!!

2000Mhz isn't really ideal for daily 24/7 on most CPU's like you have, but it can be done if you want and are not afraid of voltages.

For 2000Mhz memory speed you may need around 1.45-1.5+ QPI/Vtt, depending on the timings, and your CPU itself.

    Thanx man!

Probably, the memories I took in advance, weren't the best choice I could do for less than 2000MHz usage. Actually, 1600 works just better than higher MHz with higher latencies. So 8-8-8-24 I'm getting, is bottleneck for my setup.

Today I'm installing a new cooler (Coolermaster V6GT) and I'll check if I can replace the memories with other faster ones in lower Mhz.

    I'll keep you informed.

Thank you all for your kind and generous help!

yes 2000mhz ram is not ideal for 24/7 use. unless you can keep voltage down. If you havent seen them see my sig for bsod codes.

I wish I have seen them before fooling around struggling with dll's and other fixes. :)

Nevertheless, glad I found out what it was, due to a post here I think!

I kept your signature for future reference, I still haven't got an error else than 0x000000124.

One thing that keeps me wondering now, is if I have to set manually the Voltage on CPU rather than leaving it to auto. With intel's default cooler, CPU (@ 3,57GHz) was around 48 deg (Celsius) idle, while with V6GT 32deg. Any suggestions for voltage around 4,0GHz?

    Ended up to:

    CPU: 4,08GHz (215x19)
    Uncore Clock: x16
    Mem SPD: x8
    Mem Freq: 1720MHz (8-8-8-24)
    QPI/VTT: 1,355
    DRAM V: 1.54V

Memory's default voltage is 1.6V@2000MHz, and 1.5V at other profiles until ~1600Mhz. I thought that 1.5 would not be enough for more than 1600. The next step in motherboards voltage was 1.54.

Everything else not listed on auto. "Performance Enhance" on Standard.

I measured my temp at 100% CPU load at a 2 minute test render on 3D studio max, reached within secs 70-71 degrees and instantly at peak, 75-76. After finishing the render it cools down instantly to 50 and idles at 45. (measured with real temp)

I need some finishing touches. Any thoughts on these?

what voltage are you using for cpu? is it set to normal or a fixed voltage?

    I left it on auto.

    CPU-Z gives me 1.376V.

Should I set it to Normal or manually set the voltage?

you want to get it as low as possible while still remaining stable, try on normal first and post what voltage it sets it to in the bios

Normal voltage to CPU, gives me no boot at all. With previous settings, bios also confirms CPU-Z indication (1.376V). Keep in mind it's an i950.
