Got it! So, the first lowest DVID value that stabilizes the system and makes it work, is better and prefered for longest CPU life, right?
in the bios when you set cpu voltage to normal it will show the voltage next to it,i ask so that whatever voltage it uses you can then add extra voltage to it in dvid to be stable, clocking this way means the cpu will throttle down in speed and voltages only at idle and lowering idle temps
try on normal cpu and add +0.0500v to start with in dvid,if no boot then go back in dvid and try +0.0700v

it just lowers idle temps and voltages, when at load it switches to full cpu speed/volts,if you manually set it to a fixed voltage it wont throttle at idle and if you left it on auto voltage it would still throttle but probably use more voltage than needed and run the cpu hotter than needed
so if your cpu is using 1.36v in cpu-z and when you set it to normal in the bios and it shows say 1.3000v cpu voltage you would need to add +0.0600v to get 1.36v at full cpu speed, but at idle it would just use say 0.920v
all cpu's are different some use more voltage some use less, you just need to try and work out what amount in dvid to add to the current "normal" cpu voltage to be stable
heres what i get for idle temps at 3.8ghz,temps are the same at 4.2ghz on other mb,load temps are at 75-79c on the cores
plus you need a good quality aftermarket cooler if you still using the intel one,it will make a huge difference on temps and oc

So, simple math here...
Normal in BIOS, gives me 1.1375V (!), while CPU-Z 1.375 in auto mode. In this case should I set DVID to +0,2375? Does this sound logical?
I already bought a CoolerMaster V6GT cooler. Looks good and cool enough! :)

try with +0.0975v,auto will usually overvolt so try with less,if unstable just add two clicks more in dvid and retest untill it becomes stable

yes and this go's for all other voltages....
When you overclock things start to get out of control so you have to raise the voltage to help straighten things out. You need to increase it just enough to keep things straight. Too much voltage can also cause stability problems.

I am in NO way affiliated with Gigabyte.
If you use a BIOS I Modified, you do so at your own Risk and Assume Full Responsibilty !
One thing that was bothering me is CPU and PCI-E Clock Drive settings. Motherboards defaults are 800mV (CPU) and 900mV (PCI-E) while on my setup (probably a drawback after a OC failure) were both at minimum (700mV).
Setting them to default is ok?
Now, on the other hand, this seemed to affect the "normal" voltage of CPU. After setting to default (800mV/900mV) settings, it's one step less than 1.2V, that sounds to me more logical. Should I keep on this as base and play with +decimals of Voltage until it becomes bootable and stable?
Freezing at "loading Windows" page (or even before this) is something I should expect when voltage is not sufficient?
set to 800mv/900mv,start off with +0.0800v for dvid now and see what happens, yes it will freeze or just restart if cpu v isnt enough,qpi/vtt should be fine at 1.315000-1.35000v

Ok, fair enough! You just keep my heart beats as low as possible... :)
Thanks to both of you guys! Catch up in a bit...
Definitely outstanding!!!
Max temperature on same render in 3ds max at 55 deg (Celsius), while the previous one with auto settings, was 76 deg!
I've set it to 1.1375V and DVID +0.0875. (DVID gets blued and unselectable, so I edit it firstly and then Core Voltage)
CPU-Z gives me 1.360V on idle, and 1.344V on 100% CPU load... Is that possible or just a false indication?
Other settings
CPU: 4,08GHz (215x19)
UNCORE: x16
Mem SPD: x8
Mem Freq: 1720MHz (8-8-8-24-1T)
QPI/VTT: 1.355V
DRAM: 1.54V
