I already did the test with one stick of 4gb and have the same issue.

I asked someone who work in a computer store who build lot of computer with this board.

He said to me that it a common issue on Intel board and he saw that on ASUS / Gigabyte motherboard.

He told me not to worry.

Here is my lastest results, i bought a new 700watts PSU and did the test.

On cold boot, the motherboard turn on and no boot !

I need to hold the power button to turn OFF and then manually turn ON for finally have a normal bootup.

With my Corsair AX750, the process is automated and with the "PSU Retail Plus 700w" i need to do it manually.

Because my friend's motherboard do not do that and mine do it, i will RMA my X58A-UD3R and i will be fixed !

what psu does your friend have? and what make or ram? could be either of those things too and still could be bios or normal for it to boot twice,i know mine did it but with newer bios's it stopped

Can you please report back and let me know if the new motherboard you get following the RMA fixes the problem, or has the same issue - thanks

    Default Gigabyte support

Gigabyte Technical Service (http://ggts.gigabyte.com.tw/) have replied to my email:

    Dear Customer

It is normal for the recycle issue on a cold bootup to initialize all hardware. Any particular issue you are encountering other than this?

it is normal, especially from cold, not all mb's may do it due to different makes/models of components and bios versions ect
