    Default X58A-UD3R rev2 + i7 950 overclocking to 4.00Ghz

    Hi All,

Glad to be in the i7 clan ..:) I've been reading here and all over the other forums everything about the theory to OC..but i have one question before i start..

My bios is dated 24/8/2010 , it is i think rev FB....I want to update the BIOS based on the intruction pinned in the beggining of the forum, but which one?

The latest if FE1 which is beta and the previous one is FD...

Should i go with the BETA or with FD..I DONT use usb 3 and i plan to go for 191/21 reaching 4.00Ghz

    Any opinions?

its 1.18750v then +0.0750v added to it =1.26025v,ill help you with 4ghz once youve updated the bios

but a quick setup you could try 191x21 bclk
    memory spd x8
    uncore freq 16x
dram voltage according to ram either 1.5v or 1.66v
    cpu voltage try with 1.25000v
    qpi/vtt voltage 1.31500v
set the ram timing according to your ram aswell

    my ram is a Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3-1600 Ram Kit (PC3-12800, 7-8-7-20, CMX6GX3M3C1600C7)

But i will try your suggestion first..I hope to be ok with 1.25...I would love it...:)))

    Pc boot up ok.

but OCCT crashes after 30secs with error code 0A ....I suppose thisis some kind of voltage....vcore or qpi..or something else?

mm somethoing i noticed now in cpuz64....i have disabledseverything in BIOS related...but it shows vcore 1.2100 instead of 1.2500

    what did i miss?
