Default Gigabyte G1-Killer Gaming Motherboard coming soon! (Pics Added!)

Gigabyte G1-Killer Gaming Motherboard coming soon!

Gigabyte has been very secretive Up until now about the new G1-Killer series of motherboards, and has only teased us with an image here or there.

Very little is known about the new motherboard lineup except that it will be directed towards gamers, and will offer killer looks (Yes, bullets do appear to be included).

We can see a machine gun magazine clip on the north bridge, and from the Intel logo we can tell that at least some of the lineup will be based on the X58 chipset.

For now we can only speculate from what little these images show, but they do make a great desktop wallpaper!

Further details will only be known once CES begins on January 6th 2011.

You can download the wallpapers below, and feel free to share them around as you please.

    4 image sizes are included for each download (1020x768 - 1280x960 - 1280x1024 - 1920x1080)

These may also be downloaded at the main G1-Killer website, for anyone that may have issues with the above links

Sorry for being pessemistic, but it seems like a clone of what ASUS and MSI are already doing.

While I'm sure it will be a very good quality board, there really is nothing you can put on a motherboard that will make games run appreciably faster. MSI have hooked up with KillerNIC, a supposedly gaming NIC, which in all honesty is pretty much useless for example.

All I can see this being is a good quality board in a nice colour scheme with perhaps 3-4 PCIe slots running 16x 2.0 each. Nothing you can't get with the higher end UD series and for most, unless running quad 465/470/480/570/580 or Quadfire complete overkill.

More of a fashion statement than a practical tool to make games faster.

    I agree!

From the Bit-tech link it sounds like the G1 overclocker series coming out later will be black and orange.

I hope they make 1366 replacement socket in black and with Blue PCIE/Memory slots, that will at least make the black PCB and loss of the Gigabyte Blue image an acceptable one to me.

That Clip looks horrible. Doesn't even look like it would function well for cooling.

Sometimes you have to wonder how ideas like this make it off the drawing board.
