    Default GA-EP45-UD3P and KingstonHyperX 4GB KHX8500D2K2/4G

ok guys im kinda back in the game again..lol i just got some Kingston HyperX 4gb mem DDR2 8500 1066mhz.
i can not get them to run at 1066. 902mhz is the best i can do. it wont boot up any higher. anyone got any ideas on the settings i should try? here is what im running now.
im sure some of the mem settings are for the gskill 2gb kit i had running.
my CPU oc is great no issues with it and no issues with this mem if i run them at 902mhz and in the 2.00D strap.

    451 x 2.40B = 1082MHz memory speed, tRD = 8 or 9 should work with ~ 420 - 460MHz FSB.
    400 x 2.66D = 1064MHz memory speed, tRD = 8 or 9 should work with 400MHz FSB.

If needed, VTT (Cpu Termination) can be raised 1 - 3 clicks if needed for stability. Best if you keep it at least 0.03 - 0.05 volts lower than Cpu Vcore.
Cpu Reference = AUTO should be fine up to about 4.00GHz

Using the D-memory strap is sometimes easier to get stable compared with using the B-strap.

    Happy tweaking.

Newegg sight says 2.3v DRAM Voltage.
They have XMP profile? try selecting the apropriate profile and leave standard and advanced timing auto.
Try also with 444MHz FSB 2.40B SMM for not more than DDR-1066.

Kingston pdf spec sheet says 2.20 volts for 1066MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings.
Even if the sticker on your ram says 2.2 volts, going 0.1 volts higher should be OK if needed.

***EDIT*** Posting a screen-shot of the memory SPD from Memset or Cpu-z will show the standard voltage setting for 1066 (and other) memory speeds and might include XMP memory settings..

i dont think these have the xmp choice. i may be wrong will have to look into it.
i have them at 2.20v now and at 5-5-5-18
if i want to keep my CPU oc of 3.83ghz(451x) i will need to try 2.40b strap puttign them at 1084mhz which they should do.
so i need to take the Static tRead Value --------------------- : [11] down to say 8 or 9?

Not right away, lower stable tRD values give somewhat better memory performance.
The 5-5-5-18 timings are for 800MHz memory speeds, but the looser (higher) value won't make a huge difference.
It's better to stress test with slightly looser timings, you can always tighten memory timings later. Too tight and you'll have a boot loop bios reset and/or fail stability testing. Too loose and your memory performance takes a modest hit.

Best bet is to start with tRD = 9, it should be OK. tRD = 8 can be tried later if it 9 is stable.
Don't even think of trying tRD = 7 above about 420MHz with your EP45 mobo, it won't work.

Lower tRD does not going to make things better stability-wise.
Kingstone site also says 2.2-2.3v so give it to them especially if you are going to try higher than 1066.
I strongly aadvise of auto advanced timings to start with.
