Default EP45T-USB3P with Celeron D 360 no post

Exact same mobo and set up posts fine with Q6600, E6600 and Cely 440.
Tried both F1 and latest F2 beta bios
    Tried different memory
    Tried single stick memory
Tried diff video card - pcie only
Tried diff slot for mem and vga
    Tried removing the battery

    Anything else I should try?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, it's in the CPU support list, which I'm sure you already checked.

Are you sure the CPU is functional? Have you tried clearing the CMOS at all?

If you already have, try it again for a longer period using this method. Unplug the PSU from the wall and then press and hold the case power on button for one minute, then remove the motherboard battery and let it sit for one hour or longer.

Thanks for getting back so quickly, help is greatly appreciated.
CPU is brand new - could be DOA - though probably unlikely.
I did try cmos reset - multiple times actually - no joy.
I will try yuor recommendation next.

Ya, it still could be DOA. Anyway you can test on another board to verify it works?

Yes, please try an extended Clear CMOS, sometimes I've had it fail until you did it for 8+ hours.

So if you want, just do it overnight while you sleep, that should be plenty of time

ok so I tried the recommended procedure, let the mobo site overnight w/o the battery, reinstalled the battery, plugged back in the power cord- turned on the machine and - again - no post.

reinstalled the celeron 440 into this board - post no problem -
reinstalled a pentium 4 670 into this board - again - post no problem.

I only seem to be broken (no post) with the cely D 360 - I would like to get confirmation from Gigabyte that they have tested this board with cely D 3xx chips. How do we do that?

Also FYI - I am trying to get another s775 board to test with (965 chipset not P45).
