Ok, I got 4.0 GHZ running stable at 33C, Wow. Very impressed. Also at full load I only went to 52C!

Alright I want to get to 4.6 GHZ stable, what will I need for that???

Also what is a good memory stress test program?

Fixed some fans today, the cord was a little to tight on the door. Also had to go through switching the registry to accept AHCI for my SSD. Huge difference in speed.

Does anyone have any suggestions for 4.5 ghz? What will my ram go to as well? 1800mhz?

    Flashing bios now...

i dont think your going to get 12 GB to run at 1800 you might can if you play with it

by looking at your spec you are running on air so here is my question are you just trying to get to 4.5 or do you want to run 24/7 at 4.5

getting it to 4.5 is easy but i only do it to rum benckmarks then i back it back down me myself I would not run a pc at 4.5 on air

Well my CPU is at 37C, you need to realize this ain't no normal air setup...It's the best damn air setup money can buy.

I lapped the Noctua heatsink, used indigo extreme thermal pad for ultimate contact, 3 fans in between the heatsink with about 3 fans blowing air through the case toward the heatsink.

I think I can hit 24/7 4.5 ghz no prob... Now how do I do it? Just raise the voltage? What about the DRAM voltage?

all you do is raise vcore I use 1.4 to get this CPU-Z Validator 3.1

Alright, I will work on it tonight.

One thing that needs to be done is setting up my Raid 5 config. I have 5 Samsung 1TB Spinpoints, I went into bios and made a raid volume however it says it's not bootable. (Bootable: No) My computer does not recognize the hard drives when in Windows 7.

Also I have a WD Caviar 600 6gb/s hard drive attached as a single storage drive, however it's not even being recognized by Windows 7, although it shows up in the BIOS.

What do I do to configure these hard drives?

Gangifilms, What BIOS are you using? What programs are you using to check stability? I use LinX, P95 Blend/Small FFT/Large FFT and HCI Memtest. If your stable at 4.0GHz - I would try 4.2GHz before jumping to 4.5GHz. (I'm not saying yor RIG won't do 4.5GHz) It's best to make small steps - I did my UD9/980X this way and found that running 4.64GHz (LinX Load) runs 5c cooler than 4.51GHz. I'm 4.72GHz LinX Stable and working on 4.83GHz. Work your way up so you can learn what your RIG likes and dislikes. It will make it easier with high OC's PLUS you'll have more fun doing it. wibujo

Ok, Just flashed my BIOS to the latest version. F5 for the UD9

Had a bit of a problem when I booted back into Windows 7, Had a blue screen. Went back into BIOS figuring it was a voltage problem... I raised my QPI/VTT voltage up to 1.58 and lowered my RAM voltage to 1.64. Booted back in. No problems so far.

I am working now on my raid...Reading the manual, need to install the drivers probably, not a big issue.

I also think my Sata 3 HD's are not plugged into Sata 3 ports.... DOH.

I'll report back when I get my raids up, then I will bench my computer...then try to push my OC a bit further before setting up a Quick Boot and calling it quits!

Thanks for the help so far!
