    DRAM voltage is 1.65.
    I have switched PSU.

I will try the fan idea.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

It seems that the problem is solved. I have switched CPU cooling from Intels freebee fan to a big ass Scythe Ninja III and a Scythe Gentle Typhoon. It is strange that it is working I think. Sure, the CPU is about 10 degrees cooler but it wasn't very hot before either.

One more thing thou. When I shut down my PC I have a hard time to fire it up again. I have to wait for about 10 minutes, remove the power cord and the start it. Then it most often starts, but sometimes you have to do the procedure a couple of times. I thought that this war related to the earlier problem, but now it dosn't seem be. Any ideas?

    Best regards
    Freddie

Argh! No it didn't work... :( Now it died again.

Before when I tried to start it by removing the power cord and so on. I got an error message saying that the BIOS broke (or something like that) and that it had to restore the BIOS from a backup. What is that all about?

    Thanks again!!

Do you have a spare CMOS battery you could try for a day or so, maybe the battery is bad caused that?

No I don't. But I can of course get one. But my mobo is only 2 month old.

I have rearranged the cooling in my PC. I have prioritized memory cooling instead of CPU cooling. That seems to work out. But isn't that strange? Is the memory broken? I got my new mem today. I will also try that.

Maybe the first problem is solved and it's probably faulty memory. But my other problem still remains. The problem were I have problem to start the PC. I will describe the problem in more detail. Earlier I said that when I shut down the PC it's difficult to get it running again. I have noticed that isn't exactly the case. If I choose to shut down the PC from windows it will start again without any problem. But when I use the power button to turn it off I have a hard time to turn it on again. For example, I start the computer and decide during the POST that I want to shut it down. Then it's almost impossible to get it to work again. Any ideas about that?

    Thanks

Check the case power switch wires are connected properly to the mb,does that mb have a built in on/off switch? If it does disconnect the case on/off wires and test with onboard in/off just to see if the case switch or wiring is faulty

The proper way to shut the computer down is from in windows with the power off/shut down buttons, the board should not act that way though but powering down with the board can cause CMOS corruption issues and that may be what you are seeing most often.

Try not using the board/case button for a while and only use windows to shut down, I bet you'll not run into that issue near as often if at all.

    Hi,

Just want to give you an update and say thanks.

Almost everything works fine now. I have rearranged the cooling to get the air moving more in the mem area and I have installed new RAM.

The power button thing is still bothering me thou. But maybe it will go away?

Anyway, for the main part it really works good now. Thank you very much for all your help!!

    Best regards
    Freddie

The power button thing is normal, as you explained your use of it, and then taking what I said above into consideration it sounds like normal error to me due to shutting down the system incorrectly.

Please try my suggestion of using only the windows power off buttons for a while and see if that works without error for you.
