Thread: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7 issues

    Default Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7 issues

I just bought this board along with an i7 2600 and I have two issues.

First, my CPU always runs at 3.33Ghz instead of 3.4Ghz+ and it won't overlock itself at load or downclock itself at idle.

Second, I can't update the BIOS, at Q-Flash, it always reports the BIOS image as "Invalid BIOS Image".

How do I fix these issues?

Are you using the correct @BIOS, sorry but for now you must use @BIOS to update the BIOS.

I think latest BIOS will fix the CPU speed issues, let us know once you get it flashed.

Here is the @BIOS you need to use, along with the special X BIOSes for CPU PLL unlock.

Thanks, using @BIOS I was able to successfully update the BIOS. The CPU speed is now working fine as well, though I would have thought the CPU speed will go past 3.4Ghz, but that doesn't really matter at the moment.

Nice to hear your update went smoothly!

So how's things going with this now?

Disable speedstep if you want the CPU to always run at the turbo/multi you set
