From CPU top to case panel 6 3/4 inch? It's 1bout 170mm and should be fine with most tower heatsinks.
Thermalright's Venomous-X, TRUE, and Ultra 120 are even thinner and better coolers, but cost as double as the Hyper 212+.

And with any of those, I dont have to worry about the tall memory I bought? And it looks like the Ultra 120 does not support my new AM3 board, but the other 2 do:)

The Hyper 212+ is 70mm wide I think and the Venomous is 63mmhalf of that + 25mm of fan (you may find thinner fan) = 56 to 60mm from CPU center toward the memory, you will have to measure.
Scythe has slim 120x120x12mm fans, max 45CFM though. Other fans 20mm or under should be out there.

Thank you so much for all the help! What fan do you think is the most quiet?

Can't tell which is most quiet, but Cooler Master has a line of silent fans.
Check Blue LED Silent Fan 120mm (comes in red, blue, or green) and XtraFlo.
Once the air hit the HS fins it's a different story, but I have one of those or alike and it's definately quieter than the Thermatake fan that is installed on my CPU HS.

I bought the Thermalright Venomous X - RT. It seems to be pretty quiet. Thank you so much for all the help on this:)

Did you measure the distance from the center of CPU to the 1st DIMM?
    Good luck with the installation.
Keep us posted how it went, a picture too if you can make one.

Heres what I have so far. I think Im going to take out the unit thats at the fan. Its just touching, and Im sure if they get hot it might just melt that plastic on the bottom of the fan....

Hmmmm how much the plastic add to the fan?
I have taken measures of a scaled image of the board and it showed about 48mm from CPU center to the first slot, so a 12mm deep sleapstream should have fit even before the 1st slot.
Did you get additional fan clips?
