Unhappy X58 UD7 and Corsair dominator GT

I cant boot my pc with extreme memory profile for my Corsair Dominator GT memory with X58 UD7 rev.2 mobo.

Is anybody facing the same problem ?

I have the same board and corsair dominator GT and no problems here. Go into bios and load optimised defaults and try again.

There is a big difference between XMP profile settings and the optimised default settings.

You will most likeley not be able to run the memory at its full rated speed. You will probably have to go into the bios and manually set the settings tweaking as you go. There are many threads here on this topic. same board same memory.

What is the exact kit of memory you have?

Can you please link us, or give the model # and Revision #?

    Thanks

What CPU are you using? If it's a 920-950 then it will take a lot of work to get 2000Mhz bootable, running, and stable

You should disable XMP and set things yourself. If you do not have a 970 or 980X then running 2000Mhz isn't ideal for daily use, benching would be ok though.

The reason for this is to run 2000Mhz memory you have to run 4Ghz uncore and that requires 1.45-1.55+ QPI/Vtt most of the time, which is up to you really if you want to use for 24/7 settings.

If you want some suggested settings to try 2000Mhz no matter what CPU you have I can give them to you, just let me know your CPU and what CPU overclock you want to run.

My CPU is a i7 950 and my memory is Corsair Dominator GT (3X4)12GB CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 (I have replaced the old 2x3GB since my last post in here).
I must mention that my system is water cooled.

    Thank you in advance

Thanks for asking. I forgot to write that. I still have the same problems and I left in Bios the default settings, that is 1066MHz for the memory. If I set it to 1666 MHz I cant manage to have a normal boot up without having error messages about overclocking from the mb. So I have to go in and just save settings to continue boot to windows with 1666MHz.

Have you loaded Optimized Defaults after installing the ram?
Have you set voltages manually or are they set to Auto?
Do you have Easy Tune6(ET6)installed? Can you post a screen shoot of the Tuner tab >advanced button>Voltage tab.
This will show what voltages the bios is setting for auto.
Also with your screen show can you include CPUz mian screen and memory tab also one with the SPD tab showing.(you can run cpuz more then 1 time)

Edit - Are you using the lates bios version for you board? check the stick at top of forum for it.
