    Chike,
Went into Gigabyt's Easy tune 6 and it says that the Sys Tmp is 33c/93f and the CPU is 23c/73f.

Yes I looked at the template and it looked fine so I did not comment.

The CPU temperature in BIOS is taken from a diode, we are looking at core temps. Core temos are measured at the hottest spots on the cores, the diod is located in a different place.
My old board and CPU seemed to show correct reading for both CPU and cores so I useed the diode to calibrate the cores. With the new CPU the diode seems far from showing reasonable reading, on 2 different boards.

To see the difference between the 2 use HWNonitor(CPUID), TMPIN1 is the CPU I think, it also shows fan speeds and some voltages.

In BIOS set fan control enabled. If you have OWM fams set mode to PWM otherwise set it to voltage.

LOL I hade to google "hot rodder" which reminded me a question I forgot to answer(?), I am in Israel not the USA.
Save the wine, I am not a wine fan, I just mix some alcohol with grapfruit juice and I'm good

    Chike,
Well I think I F$%&*D up. I damaged a couple of traces when I tried to cut the NB cooler off.
BAD DUCK! Well my question now is... do you have any recommendations for a new MB? Your GA-EP45-UD3LR costs about the same as mine or is there something else that I should look at now? I could just kick myself in the tail feathers.

Sorry to hear about your damage!!

A P45 would be a good board to use in place of P43, so ya if that is the best one you can afford it would be a good choice

Thank you for your kind post.
Well considering the cash I have already put in this build I would like to hear some options in the $60.00 to say $150.00 region +or-.

I would look at used P35-UD4P or above, or P45 UD3/UD3R, you want something that's a good overclocker right? P31/G31 - P43/G43 is going to be limited

    P35 used will be cheap!

How much is the UD3LR? Maybe just a UD3L since you don;t need the RAID, but those has only 4pin CPU power the quad may need 2x4pin, so that's UD3, UD3R, UD3P.
The L model are still better than the P43 though, and you are near OC limit due to the temps, how much do they cost?

Whichever you choose, make sure it still have 2-3 years warrenty, the first 4 digits in GB serial number are the manufacturing date (YY/WW) and warrenty is 3 years since that.

    Chike,
The UD3LR is ~$65.00 about the same as the P43. I just figure that now that I have all the rest of the fast stuff (short of DDR3) may as well get the best "Bang for my buck" with the MB.
Thank you for your replies I am going to look at all the boards that have been suggested. The one thing about the EP45 is that it has so many PCIe 1x slots. it would be nice to have a second, at least, PCIe 8x slot for a real RAID controller. Suggestions are appreciated and looked in to. :-)

Yes, very good, double the price of the L boards.
Your RAID controller is not real enough with hot spare? LOL and i doubt the hard-drives can overload the 500MB/s of PCI-Ex1.
