    Chike,
Usually the graph goes to 100% then drops to ~90% between tests and then goes back to 100% and you can see the cool down in between tests that did not happen in post #207. 38.8 GFlops nominal before. I'll try 8 and then 7 Static read. Is there a particular test that tests for the limit of Static Read?
I will do the adjustments and report back.

    I can't do 7 Static tRead but 8 works at same FSB/SMM.
No particular test for Static tRead unless it is totaly unstable then machine will freez or memtest86+ will show errors quickly.
A notch up MCH Core may be needed.
How do you enable this graph?

    Chike,
I pulled it off CoreTemp's Site. In my current case, using XP 32, it is the attached file. I would immagin there is a 64 bit version. It is a "plug in.

    Thanks, got it.
BTW have you tried increasing vcore a little? I am missing a 1-2 GFlops there.

    Chike,
You mentioned "If you haven't bought this board you could get a new MB ad CPU for ~350USD which are much better than this, and even cheaper memory. " Are you talking 775, DDR2? I would think about that but I have all the money in this setup and just saw that processor on eBay the Q9450 (2.66) & the Q9550(2.83) have large L2cache memories (12) meg 3megs each core no sharing. Occasionally you can get one, Q9450 for ~$160. or a Q9550 for $180. Most of the time they run ~$200.
BTW Now I can run a FFT Audio Spectrum Analyzer and a two channel Oscilloscope while I transfer my records to digital! could not do that before. And I am only using ~60% CPU!!! If these types of instruments interest you check out DazyWeb Labs, best of all they are FREE!
    I am VERY HAPPY!!!
How much do you think I should increase it by. 1.25000V is where it is set now. I will try 1.25625 (+1click).
I tried 7 id did not work so 8 it is. Set Drive Stegenth to 1066. Testing now.
    Thank you,
    Bruce Hatch

No I was talking about 2nd cen core. i5-2500K is about 225USD, a basic board for OC about 130USD, and memory you can get low latency DDR3 1600 4GB for 50-70 USD.
This you could OC to 4.5GHz, or even more, memory performance are much better, and it includes all latest features/instruction sets, SATA III and USB 3.

The template had vcore at 1.225v, thought you still at stock. Try 1-5 clicks higher see if you can get those 1-2 GFlops.

    Chike,
Brought the core up to 1.25625V (+1click) Was @1.2500 Note CPUZ sees 1.232V as the core V.
(I updated the BIOS Print out now, Sorry it was wrong.) Should I repost now? Still says Award bios ver 6.00 PG in boot screen though.
Set Tread to 8 (7 did not work, as you thought)
    Drive Stregenth to 1066
    It LIVES!
    I'll torture it tomorrow.
I have to just finish with this computer and the next will be a water cooled unit and you can bet I will want to ask you about recomendations for that one, when the time and money come around. Have you ever played with Peliteir cooling? I have a Pelitier chip that I have straped to the old coolmaster heatsink and it gets darn cold real quick. I hear that one of the problems is frost building up from ambient humidity.
    Good night!,

Run Prime95 blend for 9+ hours.
As a final test i now run one Prime95 worker while I use the computer, but sometime IE with flash player can crash the system even after that, then it's more shooting in the dark.

What kind of new computer are you planning to build?
I was wondering about pelfier modules in the past, it seems it's not worth bothering with. There are one or two coolers that had pelfier built in them and they are not the best coolers out there.

    Chike,
What do you think of the Core V and the Temps?
What I was wondering about the Peliteir units capacity to dissipate heat.. Versus the CPU's ability to produce heat. My impression is that the unit I have is able to dissipate ~75W when the CPU is ~95w also, they say you can sandwich or stack them for more capacity and "stage" them to go on at certain temps, due to load conditions. Lastly I am wondering if there is a Voltage vs. Cooling ratio that could be used to control temps.
My next computer will be to replace one of my other computers but I have to let my wife "cool down" first. ;-)
Did you get a chance to check out DazyWeb? cool site. Running the FFT spectrum analyzer has never been as good as it is now and the Oscilloscope works with it! Amaizing.....
I am going to put in a High Point Rocket RAID 3520LF controller it is PCI-eX8 with 250 Meg on board cache today. The SYBA went out. And install a Zalman MFC-3.
    Thank you,
