Default P55-UD3R USB "Enhanced" Host Controllers

Alright, I kind of stumbled my way into this problem and wondering if anyone had any insight. I'm running the P55-UD3R (rev 1) board with Bios F8. I've been attempting to use a USB webcam (Logitech C510) with a USB extender cable and it won't recognize it unless I go without the extension. Long story short, this led me to a page on Logitech detailing how to make sure your ports are USB 2.0.

So, looking at my device manager I see 9 host controllers listed. 2 "USB Enhanced Host Controller"(s) and 7 "USB Universal Host Controllers". The seven universal controllers I've accounted for between the 5 pairs of USB ports on the back panel and the two USB headers on the mainboard. Even tested them by plugging in a known device into every port and watching it show up correctly under one of the Universal controllers in Device manager.

The problem is, I can't for the life of me figure out where the USB "Enhanced" Host controllers are. There's no headers that I can see or find in the motherboard or the manual. Does anyone have any idea how I can access those host controllers, or should I just pick up a USB 3.0 PCI express card?

    Thanks!

My Fusion webcam is connected to the topmost port (the one that is close to the optical S/PDIF) and shows as USB Enhanced Host Controller", the keyboard connected to the port below it and show as Universal.
It may be not where you plug but what you plug.
Have you tried the webcam without the extender?

Yeah, no dice for me there. Plugged into either of those top ports shows up as one of the Universal Host Controllers (3B38 to be exact).

Have you loaded optimized defaults, everything in BIOS looks ok?

Yep. Every port is showing up under one of the universal hubs, just can't figure out how to get to the enhanced ports.

When pluged windows does not detect the webcam at all? If it does, have you installed it's software yet?
Could be a problem with the webcam, have you tried it on another computer?
What OS do you have and have you installed the latest chipset INF file?

No, the computer recognizes the webcam fine without the USB extension cord. But with the cord it comes up as device not recognized.

Though, I'm not particularly worried about the webcam. I'd just like to figure out how to use the Enhanced USB controllers if at all possible for the devices (like the webcam) that need more bandwidth.

It appears every USB port that I can access (the 10 ports on the back panel and the 2 USB headers on the mainboard) are all attached to the Universal hubs, not the Enhanced hubs.

Can you post a screen capture of device manager by connection with the webcam connected?
Alt+PrintScreen to capture active window only.

    (1) Do you have another USB hub connected to your PC?

    (2) Can you confirm that the extension cable is 2.0 certified?

Nope, no other USB hub and the enhanced hubs show up even without any other USB devices plugged in.

I think the extension problem is a matter of length. The extension is 10' and the camera has a 6' or so cable of it's own.

Here's a screenshot of the USB hosts showing up under device manager.

    <img src="http://usera.ImageCave.com/Meatball/usbhosts.jpg">

I've basically figured out the following..

3B38 is the top two USB ports on the back panel.
3B3F is the next two down on the back panel.
3B3E is the middle pair on the back panel.
3B3B is the next pair down on the back panel.
3B39 is the bottom pair on the back panel.
3B37 and 3B36 are the two USB headers on the mainboard.

I can't account for the two "Enhanced" hubs, 3B3C and 3B34.
