Is your system watercooled to get 4.25?
    What vcore are you using?
I am running watercooled now but I did run same speed before with Megahalems. For 4.25 I set voltage to 1.3375 V in bios, CPU-Z shows it as 1.296 V.
Now your Gflops are looking much better, you really shouldn't have anything else running when you are stress testing.

    Memory performance look good.

I will try again tonight when it cools down.
Diagnostic mode it not safe mode, drivers still loaded but most services are disabled.
I think in Windows 7 you can select it when pressing F8 when windows starts.
If not, run msconfig and select diagnostic startup, then reboot. When you're done run msconfig again to select normal startup.

I restarted in safe mode and it is better for testing.

IBT was giving 52.7GFLOPS at the standard test but when I tested at Very High (4096mb) It returned 54.4 consistently. Those numbers look better.

Memory improved a bit under Diagnostic mode:

I am very happy with that outcome.
Thanks again for all the wonderful advice guys :)

All the same then, GFlops good, you should have told us it was standard stress level, for four cores 3072+MB prefered.

    Doh, sorry about that.

Now I am thinking about watercooling to see where I can get to, nuts! Maybe I should save the money for a new system down the road instead.

LOL I get carried away sometimes too, save the money, for 330-430USD you can have new board and processorthat easily hits 4,5GHz, and double the GFlops when using AVX.
And I suggest waiting for AMD buldozer to see who wins.

    Lsdme isn't happy unless he's pushing 6.0 - 7.0GHz with liquid nitrogen.
To his credit, I think he posted a while back that he no longer inhales LN, as it gave him severe headaches.

Haha, man you are too funny!

Na, I just meant that these boards go to 5Ghz in auto if you want, or manually (Suggested), without a single hiccup.

But in general, yes, 6Ghz is minimum stock suggested frequency for all CPU's

If you post a screen-shot of your test(s), it displays additional information that lets us spot errors. If your screen-shot also includes cpu-z, Memset, ET6, CoreTemp or RealTemp, etc. we now have a complete picture of your system.

For example, if you run IBT with threads=4 (instead of AUTO for your quad-core cpu) your GFlops score will be somewhat lower.
mm67 always posts excellent screen-shots in his posts.
