Default GA-H55-USB3 (rev. 2.0) - No Video on Resume

Hi, I have a GA-H55-USB3 (rev. 2.0) in a new build with no video on resume. Latest BIOS ver F7. I have tried both S1 and S3 BIOS settings. Have same problem with both Standby and Hibernate. Monitor is hooked up to 15-pin D-Sub connector. System appears to come out of both as there is hard drive activity, just no video. Running WinXP Pro. I have searched the web and tried many suggestions but nothing works.

    Thanks in advance, Bob

My original post states: "Latest BIOS ver F7." If I'm missing something please let me know.

    Thanks anyways.

Gigabyte wants me to RMA the MB. I really don't think this is a hardware problem.

    Still waiting for suggestions, Bob

I tried something new this morning. I set up a remote access server on the Gigabyte system. I suspended it then I woke it up. It appeared to wake up (hard drive activity) but I could not access it through remote access. I made sure the RA worked before I placed the system in S3 mode. The RA software could find the system but could not connect.

Sorry I meant try latest beta bios on tweaktown/gigabyte/latest bios,it might contain a fix for sleep/resume,the f7 bios is latest official, betas appear here months before they appear on gigabytes site as final,if it doesn't fix it you can always flash back, flash using qflash

Edit, there isn't any newer bios for that mb,only f7 which is weird, what's your dram and qpi/vtt voltage set to in bios?

I'm running Kingaton HyperX w/XMP. Was running at XMP Profile 1 with voltages of DRAM=1.65v and qpi/vTT=1.2v. I am not running at the Standard Profile with voltages at DRAM=1.5v and qpi/vtt=1.1v. Neither setting makes a difference.

I have the monitor set to goto sleep after 15min. It wakes up fine from that. This is only an issue when the system goes into suspend. I have tried suspending to both S1 and S3 as set in the BIOS. Same problem with either setting.

Is the Kingston ram rated at 1.5 or 1.65v?it will be printed on the ram, have you tried disabling xmp and manually setting dram voltage according to ram,to set ram speed set the spd system multiplier to give you 1600mhz speed and set timing to manual then select quick and type in the timings according to ram like this
    8
    8
    8
    24
    Command rate 1t
It will set the timings for all the sticks installed, lastly set qpi/vtt voltage to 1.25v and see if it resumes, its memory related because it saves the sleep state to your ram and resumes from it

    Memory is as follows:

    KHX133C7D3K2/4G
    4GB (2GB 256M x 64-Bit x 2 pcs.)
    DDR3-1333MHz
    CL7

    Voltages are listed as:
    1.5v @ 9-9-9-24
    1.7v @ 7-7-7-20

BIOS correctly identifies the CL9 voltage as 1.5v.

BIOS incorrectly identifies the CL7 voltage (XMP Profile 1) as 1.65v. Spec sheet says it sould be 1.7v.

I can not find any specs on the qpi/vtt voltage.

I will now try what you suggested (other than speed) and post back.

Tried a few other things I saw on different threads. All resulted in the same issue.
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    I tried:
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Only installing one stick of memory.
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Disabling the following both together and a separately:
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    Turbo Boost<o:p></o:p>
Use all cores (set to one core only)<o:p></o:p>
    Multi-Threading<o:p></o:p>
    CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)<o:p></o:p>
    C3/C6/C7 State Support<o:p></o:p>
    CPU EIST Function
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
This is a clean install of WinXP Pro. Reinstalled on a formatted drive with latest updates, patches and drivers. Software was installed in the order recommended by GB.
    <o:p></o:p>
