Default Problem after updating the BIOS - GA-X58A-UD5 (rev. 2.0)

    Hello

I got a problem since I updated my bios to FD.

Every time I start up my pc it always "Verifying DMI Pool Data" - for like 20-30 seconds and then run windows normally.

Is that considered to be a problem and how to solve it.

I updated the bios using the guide on the forum.

    Thank you,

Try disabling any unused ports or peripherals in the bios, things like floppy drives and drive A ect,see if it improves things

    EDIT:

1 thing I didn't mention though it problem happened only once.

My WD drive keep disappearing from windows and I must restart to put it back.

    I got 2 drives:

    1. SSD (OS)
    2. WD Black 2TB (Data)

Maybe I should go back to FC bios if that is possible?

You can always flash back to a working bios, try unchecking the keep dmi pool data box before you flash the bios so that it wipes it clean

this happens to anyone with an AHCI drive as boot. fix is to deal with the delay or revert back to an older BIOS like Fd3 that didn't have this issue.

I have the same problem (the Verifying DMI Pool Data...message after the screen Bios), is there a solution ?

I use a C300 Crucial SSD, the last BIOS (FF1). Floppy drives and drive A are desactivated and I already try loading optimized defaults without any results. If someone have a solution, thanks a lot !

My friend has the same problem; he has written a mail to the tech support of Gigabyte and received following reply:
It takes 20 sec at “Verifying DMI Pool Data” screen because the system is patching the ODD, which means some of ODD has the compatibility issue in AHCI mode.
Therefore, it is normal if takes 20 seconds for the verifying DMI pool screen in order to get best recognition for the ODD.

So, It's just normal !? Is there a way to dell this message ? What's the problem, my SSD ? How to shut down the compatibility issue in AHCI mode ? Is there no alternative BIOS to bypass this message ?
