Default Gigabyte G1 Assassin detecting ide drives issue

Hello again, there must be a problem with latest ud9 bios and G1 Assassin that has to do with sata/ide drives (new efi non efi configuration related).

When I turn on the pc after a normal shut down, the bios freezes at detecting ide drives. If I wait for 5 minutes or more, it finally detects the drives. The same to shut down the pc, I am not able to shut it down, it freezes in the screen shutting down.

Its a bios issue that affects ud9 and assassin, both have the same bios. In ud9 it randomly appears the problem, in assassin is continuous, so I am returning to my old asus p6t7.

I have two seagates 7200.12 in raid0, but proved ahci and ide and its the same. I have a LSI 9750 4i with 4 vertex 2 120 3,5 (firm 1.28), in raid 0, connected to the last pciex in ud9 and/or assassin.

I have been trying all kind of configurations in bios but no luck. ud9 has f5m bios, flashed with @bios (with the command efi/non efi cd boot, and assassin has f2 bios, which came with it.

    Help!

It is bios bug. My UD7 has similar issue at C300 SSD.

Try to SSD firmware update(1.32 version)

Current BIOS is F2, not sure F3 would fix this...never flashed a BIOS before and am a little scared to do so :)

You will be fine, I highly suggest you use the latest BIOS as the issue you are having may be a BIOS bug as mentioned above.

Flash with USB from Qflash, it is very easy

Do you have two IDE devices connected to the same cable, sometimes that can cause issues as well as having the jumper in the wrong place for where the device is connected to the cable.
