So I reset the BIOS to optimized defaults and specifically put the dram voltage to 1.66. Note that I'm confident this was done when I built the system.

I then began individuating testing each module where they all booted properly.

I then moved RAM around, different paring, etc. and finally put all modules back in where it booted to Windows and now says I have 12Gig again?

This is good that it's fixed, but confusing as it worked for 11 months, didn't work then works again?

Any chance this could be a Windows thing where in the system basic settings it said "Installed memory (RAM): 12.0 GB (8.00 GB usable)" and now something has changed in Windows? I dunno.

Glad its working. If you need any further help with your settings just let us know...

Possible or possible bios could have had a issue. If ram has not been removed in 11 months I doubt it was a slot or ram install problem. Also might want to make sure you are updated to the latest bios version for your board.

Not a windows issue at all, it's a BIOS or settings issue if the memory is fine and if your socket does not have any bent pins.
