    Unhappy GA-EX58-UD4P can't see all RAM

    Long, continuous beep code on boot. will eventually get to Windows.

    In Win 7 it says "8 of 12GB RAM". I've ran memtest and it says everything works OK, but it can't see RAM in channel 0 (zero). I've reset the BIOS, but same problem.

    Not sure how to proceed. Help?

    What RAM model and configuration(slots installed), and CPU?
    Which memtest have you ran exactly? Does it report all ram working?

    Also what is the board revision and BIOS version installed?

    You need to set dram voltage according to your ram and up the qpi/vtt voltage to atleast 1.35-1.4v for 12gb,then see if all 12gb show up

    Yes please list exactly what hard ware you are using with a link to your memory. Use a template from the link in my sig for your complete bios settings. Do not use auto voltages. Also Please check each memory module separately one at time to verify each stick works ok then trying a in different slots to make sure all slots work. then try adding in one at a time till you can see what is installed (6gb installed only see 4gb) then try moving them around. If all memory is ok and all slots ok then problem is either bent cpu socket pins or incorrect bios settings. Please take a pic of the cpu socket take from different angles to see all possible pins.

    Any update for us yet?

    This is often QPI/Vtt voltage, and uncore set incorrectly. Provided you do not have any bent CPU socket pins.

    OK, I've redone this post properly to contain the necessary info.

    History:
    Made system a year ago where i believe i got the BIOS settings correct and everything has been fine up to the last couple weeks. Booting couple days ago and notice a long, continuous beep code on boot. The system eventually gets to Windows 7 (Ultimate - 64bit), where in the system basic settings it says "Installed memory (RAM): 12.0 GB (8.00 GB usable)".

    Troubleshooting:
    I really haven't done much other than running MemTest where it says the RAM is OK, but it can't see RAM in channel 0 (zero). Note that during some other basic trouble shooting I reset the BIOS to safe mode/settings. I haven't moved RAM around pending advice from this board.

    My info using the suggested template:
    CPU = Core i7, 920
    Motherboard = GA-EX58-UD4P (rev. 1.0)
    BIOS Version = forgot to write down, I will post this once I reboot
    Ram = 12GB total of Patriot 6GB Tri-Channel kit PC3-10666 (DDR3-1333MHz). Note that the site says 1.65V, but on the RAM itself, it says 1.66V???

    Check PC Health for actual applied RAM voltage, if it is under 1.65v set it manually to 1.66v.
    Check EasyTune, Tuner -> Advanced -> Volatge tab for target QPI/VTT see if it is set to 1.5v.
    If not try to set it to 1.25-1.35v manually and see if it help.
    It also seems as if you run DDR-1066 and nor 1333, to run it t 1333 you may have to set System Memory Multiplier x10.

    Never use safe mode/ fail safe settings in bios ALWAYS use optimized defaults. Load Optimized defaults then try these settings.

    Try these settings but Still you would want to make sure each memory stick is capable of working and every slot is capable of working.

    If the above does not help, please take some images of your CPU socket for us.

    After you have tested each stick one by one in a white memory slot, just to be sure one or more isn't going bad since it was working fine for a year.
