only raised VCore for this test, going to run Prime95 for 8hours now, will get back to you tomorrow.
cores max temp was 69 degrees running linx

    **EDIT**
ran prime95 blend for 8hours no errors =)
prime95 small FFT no errors in 2hours

cpuz is saying vcore is only at 1.328 , but i set it to 1.3500 in bios, should i lower it in bios settings as well?

There is "vdrop" the difference of idle vcore and the value set in BIOS.
And there is "vdroop" the difference of load vcore from idle vcore.
LLC help the vdroop but vdrop remain.
There will always be a difference betwween what is set in BIOS and actual applied, it is normal.

This a great cheap, save 3.5GHz BIOS profile and lower Static tRead to 8, this should result in lower latency (about 5ns) and a bit higher read/copy bandwidth. More MCH Core will possibly be needed (I am fine with 1.16v)
You may want to run stress tests on it again.

If you wish you can try for 444MHz FSB (coupled with the Static tRead) for 3.55GHz and DDR-1066.
Max GFlops expected 48.4, no need to raise vcore more than that.

static tRead is at 8. So just use 444Mhz FSB with the 8static tRead for 3.55ghz? no need to raise vcore?

Yes, same Static tRead but you may need more vcore, according to GFlops or crash/freez.
We are looking for 48.4 GFlops. emps may be higher, hopefully 75c and below
If they are too high just use the 3.5GHz. Not bat at all.

i'm pretty happy with the 3.5ghz settings. here's my settings, and decided this is what I'm gonna stay with.

thanks alot for the help and patience chike and profJim, you guys have been very helpful in my first successful OC.

ran into a problem last night, my power supply suddenly blew up and thank god nothing else in the comp short circuited. Could my OC have caused this? but anyway, bought a new one, and i clocked back down to 3.4ghz, because i was suddenly getting random restarts with the 3.5ghz playing games. any ideas?

Is that the new PSU in your signaature or the old one?
Obviousely when you OC you draw more power, shouldn't be a problem for 730W PSU.
Could be that you need to re-tune the system for the new PSU.

Ouch man, sorry to hear about your PSU!

Glad to hear nothing else was damaged though! What is the new PSU?
