    Default P45 + 8gb 1066

    I have a EP45-DS3R with a q6600 @3.2ghz 1.216v Prime Stable
It did have 8gb of OCZ 800 4-4-4 it was prime and memtest stable

It now has 8gb Of Kingston 1066
I have tested the ram in depth 3 sticks are stable at 1066 @ 1.800v one needs 1.920v

I Can Pass 9 Passes of Memtest Fine
But a Prime 95 Blend Test Fails

If i Pull 2 Sticks Its Fine
    Either Set

When it ran the OCZ 800 Ram i had mch at 1.1v
After it failed at 1066 with the kingston i tried 1.30 on the mch
and it failed prime blend within about 10 mins

    Anyone Have any idea's

We can best help you if you provide ALL of the information requested in steps 1 - 4 from http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...tml#post295784, post #5, especially your bios settings from the P45 generic bios template.

Your current DRAM Voltage settings are probably too low and could be part of the problem.

Next prime fail i will reboot and copy them down

The ram has been tested for 14 hours prime blend
3 sticks are fine at 1.80 one needs 1.92
Im running them at 2.0 to give them headroom
I tried upto 2.3 during my tests it didnt make any diff

If i run with 2 sticks instead of 4 its totally prime stable

Many have run 3 x 2GB of DDR2 memory with with the same stable settings that their 2 x 2GB setup used. With some 8GB memory setups, the memory can't run at the full rated speeds/settings that the manufacturer guarantees for 2 x 2GB. 8GB of 1066 memory will sometimes max out at about 900 - 1000MHz. Running with very tight memory settings makes it harder to run 8GB of memory at its rated speeds. Once we see your bios settings and related screen-shots, we will have a better idea which bios settings need tweaking.

Performance Enhance = Turbo should only be tried after your system passes stability tests, set it to Standard for now.
tRFC =52 is too tight for 8GB, set it to 60 - 66, possibly a bit higher.
Your current advanced memory timings might be OK AFTER your system is stable. It's best to test with memory settings that are on the loose side while testing.
There are several voltage settings that probably aren't optimal and could be part of the problem.

Lsdme uses several instances of HCI memtest in windows and says that this test finds errors much faster than running extended Prime95 Blend/small/large FFTs.

I suggest leave advance timings auto, performance enhance standard, Static tRead Value 8-9, ram voltage @ spec, mch 1.16-1.26v.

Its Looking like its Cpu Termination/vtt

messing with mch seems to get random fail times
from 10mins to 14 hours but since messing with vtt
the more i give it the longer it has lasted so far

    Testing vtt

    1.300v Core
    2.0v Ram
    1.1v Mch

Im running 1 mikyway@home process on the gpu as well as prime

    1.22v vtt core 2 fail 7m
    1.24v vtt core 4 fail 3h 10m
1.26v vtt bsod (may have been ati drivers) lasted atleast 5h 33m from logs
Changed ati drivers from 11.2 to 11.4 after bsod so if 1.28v doesnt fail i need to retest 1.26v
    1.28v vtt 13h 20m still going

    what's safe level's for vtt?

Max safe VTT 1.32v for the MCH and 1.45v for the CPU.
