    Ooops...just found out that the DDR3 1600 is compatible but the timings have to be set (unfortunately) since it is rated at 1.65v. Sigh. Overclocking is just not my forte.

    It is usually depend how the SPD is organized if the board detect 1333 automatically or not.
    If BIOS can set DDR-1333 with 1.5v it will work.
    Otherwise you may need to set memry multiplier manually.
    I don't think any manufacturer will commit they will work without any manual settings.
    If you buy DDR-1600 you keep your options open, maybe the OC bug will bite you one day.

    Problem solved!

    Returned Regor for tri-core Rana 435 and bought 2x2GB Crucial PC3-10600 DDR3-1333 1.5v CL9. No error beep codes upon boot-up.

    Anyway, thanks for all the advice and input.
