Just disable full screen LOGO in advanced BIOS features.

None of that is enabled. It just right to scanning HDDs and cd drive - does it's little ahci bit and then boots. Kind of hard to explain. It's just skipping the first screen you usually see.

Ah maybe there less details on cold boot, that's normal. If you have IDE interface disabled and AHCI enable it can pass this screen quickly.

Ok - it was working until I started overclocking. I'll go back through and see if I didn't accidentally change something. Hmmmmm.........

I decided to start over. Temps were just too outrageous and I didn't need this kind of voltages to reach 3.6GHz on the DFI. Right now I have been able to run 5 runs of LinX with no errors and 60*C - all on stock voltage(1.2374v/1.21v in windows)

Can someone direct me to a definitions of bios term section? I have the book but there aren't really any defs in there. Thanks for all of the help thus far.

For P35/P45, this is the best guide I have seen, it explains many of the BIOS settings

When it comes to Linpack tests GFlops are important as passing them, how much do you get?

On the 3.6GHz LinX run that failed , my GFlops were kind of all over - ranging 47.2 to 47.6. I haven't ran more than 5 passes on the 3.15GHz @ stock v. I'm going to do a 15-20 pass run on LinX to make sure that all is rock solid and then start bringing it back up slowly.

On another note - the boot screen was actually just a flash - the bios setting was at 0 secs. so I went to 10secs and it started showing up again , but not all of the time. Seems to be showing up just fine - right now.

I thought you had 3.6 at stock, anyway, what are theGFlops for 3.15?
For me, LinX is only good to determine vcore, nothing else as it does not point to the cause of the error.
10 runs is more than enouh.

3.6Ghz was shown in post #12 - which was at 1.38??v. I lowered the vcore to 1.3675v(dropped temps about6-7*C) and thought I was stable until I hit the 10th run of LinX , which failed. I am going to run a LinX test here shortly and i will post back with results. Thanks.;)

The above was a very minimal OC with hardly nothing changed from auto. Does it look ok or low? Is there a guideline to go by as to how the GFlops change incrementally?
