    Default TMPIN2 Temp High

Hey, I got a PC built about a week ago and the tmpin2 temp in hardware monitor is high - about 70 degrees on average. When i run prime95 it increases 80+ until i stop it.

I googled the problem and found some people sayign that gigabyte mb's don't have a nb sensor so that temp will always be out of whack.

Does anybody know? I'm using a GA 880GM-D2H board with an AMD Athlon II X3 450.

    Thanks. I'll include screed shot..

Try to install EasyTune for your board/OS and see what that is

I do have that installed. Those cpu and system temps are normal but don't have tmpin2 temps.

tmpin2 is the default sensor name that that software uses when it does not know the exact name of the sensor that it is reading. Try other temp monitor programs if you have 3 software that show the sensors showing the same temp then those are the ones to look at. tmpin2 could be the cpu sensor for your board.
