    So where are you now? I'd advise but you have a lot of settings above, and I'm not sure what you are using now :)

    That's the problem. All those settings work w 6GB. If I get lucky -at 12GB- the first two will work after a flash and continue to work until I shut down the computer then it'll have a "hardware problem"in Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and failures in Memtest. POST shows 12 OK and windows will BSD sometimes at login, if it gets passed login it'll only show there's a problem in installs of big applications/games. I've worked a day or two by just sleeping the comp, avoiding shutting down. I'm not getting any luck now at 12GB. So for now I have the 12GB and the latest Fg1 BIOS flashed and backed up with the last setting I posted tried with 9 9 9 28. That's the last of the billion settings I tried. I'm away from the comp now using my cell. I should be back home to try again tonight, but to b honest I think we need to find out what can change in the BIOS when you turn off the computer. One thing I'm not a fan of also is there's a bunch of shared Irqs. I guess that's not so much an issue these days but I don't know that for sure. Ill snap a pick of the irqs when I get home.

    What qpi/vtt did you test with? And how high a voltage did you try?

    Got lucky -then unlucky- this morning.
    1) Pushed CLR CMOS
    2) Turned off the power supply for 10sec
    3) Pushed CLR CMOS
    4) Entered the BIOS and tried Opt. Defaults and change settings at once instead of the right way of rebooting
    5) WMDT had no Hardware errors so I recorded a vid...

    in the first part of the video when you are in the bios. It looked to me that you choose the option to Exit With Out Saving. So the changes of loading optimized defaults and other changes you made were not saved.

    Pretty close to throwing in the towel and considering the problem just a matter of trying to get two batches of the same ram to = 12GB and them not close enough to work. It's my bad for not checking the memory that was tested for this board.

    So what I did today is test Batch-A vs Batch-B (the three DIMMs from one package vs the three from the other) by installing as a four module 3 CH setup, with the one module in DDR3_2 being one from the other batch. Total = 8GB. I ran each test twice through MemTest. First time I would let run a couple secs then power off the comp...power it back on and test for a couple secs again. If it threw an error I would mark it. After all combos and some other combos (two from A and two from B) I found one DIMM from Batch-B to be enough off that it consistently gave errors if mixed with Batch-A. I found two, one from Batch-A and one from Batch-B which gave very few errors only after the second test, ie shutdown and test again. So those I guess aren't too off from each other. For clarity Batch-A alone or Batch-B alone never would give an error, so Corsair did their job in matching each package I assume. Also all the tests I did were in Auto for all of the settings + Profile1. I did try, before these tests, other settings but again getting no hint of a good result.

    If you guys have ideas for very loose mem settings other than 9-9-9-28 let me know. Tomorrow I'm gonna try the DIMMs that were far off in 2 CH mode two modules to double check. Then I'll have to settle with what I have now, four module 3CH setup = 8GB.

    Tested the two DIMMs I had out in 2ch mode (4GB) and they tested ok. For S&G I put the rest of the ram in (12GB) and started the comp, "Verifying DMI PoolData........... Update Success" gave me hope that its in working mode and sure enough when it went into MemTest Zero Errors. So guys while its working in 12GB tell me any program ET6, CPUz, etc to grab as much info that I can use to at least have a baseline non-auto setting in the BIOS! Because again its in Profile1/Auto settings.
