It's easy, just go to gigabyte.co.uk and fill out a return rma form, its all online type in what the problem is and your mb serial number ect and say the place of purchase have told you to return it direct to gigabyte, then they should issue you an rma number, write the number clearly on the package and post it,ask them to email you a freepost form and you can print it off, gigabyte UK is in Milton keynes I think

Thanks for all the help. Scan have been very helpful so far but they made excuses up for this board i think its because theyve already refunded one mobo from me so they are just avoid refunding me again. Its very anoying especially as the msi doesnt work either

I know its a pain but stick with it,if I were you though I would rma the cpu first as its smaller/easier then test it in the gigabyte and msi mb,if it works great if not rma the gigabyte mb,it doesn't take long roughly 2/3 weeks gigabyte have a good rma service

Scan have said the mobo is faulty but they noticed a scratch or something near a track. no idea how it got there. They say that although they arent sure if its deep or simply a surface mark its classed as phyiscal damage and they wont touch the board now and they say the warranty is invalidated with them? All sounds a bit odd i pressed them and they said it probably has nothing to do with the fault with the board but because it marked they wont touch it. Im going to wait for there reply regarding the msi and cpu see what they decide

Are you needing to exchange a B2 board for B3? Hope so, as they are supposed to accept B2 boards no matter what if anything is wrong with them.

Here is the B2 to B3 RMA webpage for UK

nope sadly this is a B3 board i told them that ive seen a few people on the web having the same issue as me with the board so this "scratch" is probably not the fault but they arent having it so im hoping Gbyte do a decent check of it and can confirm what the actual problem is with it

LSD,he's had 3 mb's now all different brands none have worked, even if scan say the mb is faulty why won't the msi one work? Cpu faulty? What you think LSD? Would you rma the cpu or mb first?

Very hard to say man, without having the boards and CPU here to test myself.

But it may be worth sending the CPU to Intel for RMA as well just to rule it out too.

lol ok well i emailed Gigabyte about the board as the site says just go back to the retailer. How would i go about Sending the CPU back to intel and would it cost me if the CPU was ok?

EDIT ok i found the contact number on intels site so im guessing i ring them and just speak to them and they will test it. IT doesn't really say much on there site so its a bit confusing ill try next week
