    Default GA-P67A-UD4 and GA-P67A-UD4 B3 different Realtek soundchip's?

Am I wrong in that it seems like the two versions have different soundchip's?

The 1.0 has ALC892 and the 1.1 (B3 I assume) "only" has ALC889, what's the reason for this? Seems weird unless the ALC889 for some reason is preferred even though it should be a level below the ALC 892 in features?

Probably just because that's the chips they had on hand at the time each PCB was made is all.

I believe they both have the same options, but I could be wrong?
