are you using fixed cpu voltage now? or using dvid?
To be honest I am not sure so I am going to guess that I have it fixed, could you give me some direction on how to find this out?

its upto you if you want cpu to run at full speed and cpu voltage all the time or use dvid and only use full speed/voltage when cpu is under any load, light loading and at idle cpu will downclock on speed and volatges
I am assuming that the only difference here is power efficiency? if there is something else involved then I would like to know to better understand the situation and make an educated decision. Also I am open to what you might recommend, as I am new to overclocking.

    Thanks again for your assistance

it will tell you,in cpu voltage do you type in or select a fixed amount? when you select normal in the cpu voltage list, what amount in voltage next to it does it show? and what voltage are you currently using for your stable overclock?

dvid will allow cpu to downclock when light loading or idle, and use full power if and when needed automatically,it saves heat and power when idle, does nothing for load temps but helps idle temps alot

OK, So I have been seeing a few BSODs lately so I am actually considering starting the OC process over again and just testing more often and more vigorously along the way.

    My current voltage settings are:
    LLC on Auto
CPU Vcore [1.375v] after a few recent increases after BSODs
    CPI/Vtt at [1.295v]
    DRAM Voltage at [1.640v]

all other voltages are set to auto or its default setting.

if rams rated at 1.65v then i would set to 1.66v,ive been running 3yrs nearly at that dram voltage and ram is fine, also try with more qpi/vtt voltage,it might not need extra cpu voltage, dont be scared to use between 1.35-1.38v qpi/vtt,depends on your cpu,i have one that uses alot and one that uses less

    After reading your last reply I changed my;
CPU Vcore from 1.37500 to 1.36350,
DRAM Voltage from 1.64 to 1.66,
    QPI/Vtt from 1.2950 to 1.3350

Then I ran Intel Burn Test on Standard for 5 tests and reached a temp of 71C,
ran another Intel Burn test on high for 5 tests and reached 74C,
then was running 8 threads of prime95 for about an hour on "In Place Large FFT" and then got a BSOD
After the BSOD, I changed my QPI/Vtt to 1.3550 and that is where I stand at the moment, going to start some testing

keep testing,1.35-1.38v is perfeclty fine to use, just depends on your chip, still within temps of 80c too
