For 800MHz memory speeds:
266 x 3.00A = 800MHz
333 x 2.40B = 800MHz
400 x 2.00x = 800MHz where x = B or D
CHF x SMM = Memory speed (CHF = Cpu Host Frequency and SMM = System Memory Multiplier)

With 4GB or memory, MCH Core = 1.20 -1.24 will probably be needed.

Aren't they set automatically to 800 by default?
To have the memory in dual channel mode place the 1GB DIMMs in slots 1 & 2 and the 2GB in slot 3.

OK I saw in their datasheets they default to 667MHz and probably do not have XMP so have to set SMM 3.00A manually, voltages and timings as spec.

To have the memory in dual channel mode place the 1GB DIMMs in slots 1 & 2 and the 2GB in slot 3.
For maximum performance, it's best to have matching modules in the same memory channel.
I would put the 1GB memory modules in slots 1 and 3, and put the single 2GB module in slot 2.

Nope.
Desktop Boards — Single, dual, triple and flex memory modes

EDIT: that would result in single channel or flex mode.

Nice link for motherboards manufactured by Intel, but their information might not apply to motherboards made by others.

I stand by my previous statement, unless Lsdme says that I'm wrong.
My understanding is that when using three memory modules, flex mode is the best and only option.

Thishas nothing to do with Intel boards but the chpset which is the same for all MB manufacturers.I stand by statement uless it is proven otherwise.
If I am not too lazy I wll later experiment with the 2 1GBPIa and one of the 4GBPK.

I'm looking forward to your test results.
I assume that you'll be doing some basic memory benchmarks with each setup.

Mixing 3 different modules can be a pain, now I know.
Had to run 1/2GB single channel (one or 2 sticks slots 1 & 2) and setup everything before I add the 2GB.
The dual channel ran tRD 6, for the flex I had to set 7 or it won't boot.
I would have tried 1 or 2 more but I have inserted and removed the sticks so many times, and it is not doing them any good.

1GB in slots 1 & 2, 2GB in slot 3:
