    Default Extreme Hard drive GA-P67A-UD7-B3

This is my first build and its going well. I can"t find Extreme HD on my utility disc and when I download from gigabyte I get a message that its not raid or xhd, with a strange authors name and win 7 aborts it. Should I just forget it and try raid 0? Is X,H.D. still supported?
    Thanks

I dont think its still supported even though its still up on gigabytes website. I just installed it on my X58 and its say it wont work b/c its missing a OLD version of Intel Rapid storage drive. Dont bother to install Extreme HD software.

Just setup Raid0. And install the latest drivers found here http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ity-tools.html. Second page has all the drivers.

    Ya, just use RAID 0!

Use these settings, and put your RAID disks on the 6GB/s ports

    Integrated Peripherals

    Intel Controller (White Ports)
eXtreme Hard Drive (Intel ICH10R Chipset) ........................ Disable/Auto
ICH SATA Control Mode (Intel ICH10R Chipset) ..................... RAID
SATA Port0-3 Native Mode (Intel ICH10R South Bridge) ............. Enabled
