    Default Windows 7 Setup Question

I noticed while watching the boot screen on startup that when the intel raid bios loads it also states that the AHCI bios is installed with a SATA BD-Burner installed. So dose that mean at the windows "Load Driver" section of the setup, do I need to install the AHCI driver along with the updated 9.6 Raid driver during setup. I know it may sound stupid to some but I'm having trouble with My BD-Burner. If I leave a disk in the drive sometimes windows hangs at the windows boot screen for some reason. The raid 0 is setup on sata_0 and sata_1 and I have the burner on sata_5. Thanks for any input

Please let me know if any more info is needed.

I followed the manual but installed the updated intel 9.6 x64 raid driver because the intel site states to use the 9.6 F6 driver for the newest RST software.

Raid uses AHCI also if you are using raid you only need to install the raid drivers. Where did you get the raid drivers from, the motherboard cd??? Install the latest drivers from here http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ity-tools.html second page has the drivers. install these drivers Intel® Rapid Storage Technology 10.5.0.1015.

Make sure you set Boot order to 1st hdd 2nd none 3rd none. If you needed to boot from cd press F12 at boot up.
